Ya know this could of turned out a lot worse than it did. I'm digging the redsign on Cobra Commander and Snake Eyes no more creepy ass libs through the mask. I enjoyed GI Joe1 for what it was this looks like more of teh same .

Huh, so they just killed off all the shitty actors/characters and replaced them all with The Rock? I might see this...

Well talking about non Americans taking American roles, I guess Jonathan Pryce is the President?

Brazil indeed, sir, Brazil indeed.

The best thing about that trailer was Seven Nation Army

I didn't think it was possible, but this manages to look both dumber AND more awesome than Battleship. It's from the fellow who brought you Step Up 2: The Streets and Step Up 3D, so take that for what you will.

Looks better than the first at least

Boy, C-Tates sure is thickening up rapidly, isn't he? In five years he'll look like Val Kilmer.

At least they had tyhe good sense to cast Lee Byung-hun again. That guy is the sauce.

I hate how all these things get lumped into general discussion instead of the actual page for the film. But I guess no individual page really gets enough traffic for real discussion. So what do I know.

Looks like they left Sienna Miller out of this. Damn, we may never know if The Baroness fully recovered from the evil nanobots in her brain.

1. Snake Eyes has no mouth, like it should be.

2. Bruce Willis is playing Joe Colton, the original goddamn G.I. Joe. Moreover, he only appeared in the comics, not in the TV series, which means they are digging pretty deep for characters and story.

3. Firefly was basically THE SHIT in the Marvel Comics. Glad to see him in this.

4. Some small analysis points: no Cobra Commander is sad, but at least they backed away from the mistake of the first movie... Jaye is not exactly my first choice for leading female, as the lack of Scarlett is a bit disheartening... Script was written by Reese/Wernick, who did Zombieland... Timber will be showing up in the movie, which is fucking boss...

Literally, this sounds like a movie where they listened to what the fans wanted in almost every way. All the details are so nice to hear about. Beyond that, The Rock should make this shit super boss.

@jakob187:

Cobra Commander's there, in his iconic silver mask at 1:01.

@jakob187: I'm pretty sure we see Cobra Commander twice in that trailer once after Snake Eyes is take in and the second in the Boat he too has gotten a costume reboot which looks a LOT better

Insert The Rock actually making this an appealing move comment here

And is it just me or was that a great rendition of Seven Nation Army?

That trailer was pretty good for what that movie ultimately is. I'll see it on Netflix like I did the first one.

Yeah, looks like Cobra Commander is in it.

Not sure how I feel about this. Hopefully it's fun.

First one is pretty terrible.

I remember some new stories a while back had said Cobra Commander would be in the movie, but without any form of casting confirmation anywhere, I'm not going to jump out and say "that's definitely Cobra Commander", especially since...well...we remember when we were all psyched about Cobra Commander in the LAST movie, right?

So once there is an official casting confirmation somewhere, I'll be super goddamn psyched about it.

As bad as the first one was, it's still one of my favorite guilty pleasures, so I'm really looking forward to this.
