So NBC is getting a TON of crap for how it is broadcasting the London Olympics. Things defiantly could be better. Predominately I consider myself a MMA fan and that's about it. One of the unifying features of sports fan is seeing those sports LIVE since we live in a internet world where I could just as easily find the results minutes after they happen.

Now in California there is a huge time difference between here and London so I expect not being able to see everything live. Which is why I'm glad that NBC through YouTube has been streaming just about everything LIVE. Now production value is a bit low but it's better than nothing but I still got to see the majority of the Judo tournament in the morning after I got up. It aired here at around 1am which is a bit much even for me, the guy who would pound Mt Dew and watch 6 hour MMA cards out of Japan from 12-6am. Add onto the DVR and my Olympic experience has been pretty good.

Seriously Dressage is essintally horse dancing

I have been ignoring as per usual. Except for basketball none of the sports are interesting to me to watch. And the basketball games are just kind of sad. The score of the women's US/Angola game was 90-38.

Canada has one medal. We're doing just as good as I expected.

I've been watching the sports I would never before consider watching and in general it's been pretty fun. I do like sports so I guess it makes sense I'd like most of these.

Can't wait for ping pong!

I haven't really watched that much so far. I've seen some water polo, basketball, and bike races, but that's about it.

Have been watching the Football as always, and have become quite a fan of the Women's Beach Volleyball.

Hockey is alright too.

Paying far more attention to the Olympics than I ever thought I would.

It's amazing. Non stop Olympics in my Hometown, where I work and live, is the best thing!

I did check out, via the YouTubes, a bit of the NBC coverage, and it was uniformly an abysmal, dysmal, piece of shit failure.

And I wish I could watch more Basketball as it's my favourite sport, but the Americans thrashing everyone and everything every time is boring.

I've been watching a bit of fencing as I tend to do with most of it being pretty exciting stuff as the women's individual foil was just some transcendent stuff featuring awesome defense and compelling back and forth battling which resulted in the Italian women eventually capturing all the medals in that one as their passion ran roughshod over South Korea's H.H. Nam's excellent speed and technique. Sadly the women's individual epee was an embarrassing disaster in which a technical glitch was dealt with in the worst possible way completely destroying the dreams of Shin A Lam who with one second left on the clock was pretty much guaranteed a gold medal competition round but instead ended with a protracted and profoundly sad demonstration of Olympic judging failure. Hopefully the individual sabre will renew my faith but that bit with Lam was rough stuff to watch and even worse to read about making it hard to celebrate for the winners though it had nothing to do with them.
