At least that's what hitflix believes.

http://afterthecut.com/2012/11/27/joseph-gordon-levitt-rumored-to-play-batman-for-justice-league/

"According to hitflix sources are saying that Joseph Gordon-Levitt is “absolutely” in the Justice League film but he won’t be the man we thought he would be, he’d be Batman!

Gordon-Levitt, who played John Blake in The Dark Knight Rises, who later (spoiler alert) turned out to be the boy wonder himself as Batman and not Robin?

Christopher Nolan shocked us all at the major twist at the end of his trilogy and rampant questions and speculation wanted more of JGL as Robin. Now it looks like HitFix is confident we’ll get more of JGL just not how we thought.

Nolan is currently serving as an executive producer for Man of Steel, the new Superman film, who also happens to be a member of The Justice League…are worlds colliding and things coming into focus? Right now it’s all speculation and rumors.

What’s even worse is that a Justice League film isn’t planned until 2015 so the rumors will be abundant.

Here’s something many are suggesting may happen, obviously more SPECULATION:

The credits roll on Zack Snyder’s Superman epic next summer and we see Henry Cavill as Superman flying through the sky where he lands on a Gotham building in the presence of Jim Gordon and “the new” Batman to a little chat.

Pretty crazy right? But how many heads would explode if that were to happen? Mine would. It would be like how The Avengers set up with all their scenes after Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger.

Now you have something to think about, do you like the idea of JGL sporting the black suit? Do you think he should remain Robin, or are you just stoked that this could be a possibility".

I'm calling bullsht.

The Nolan Batman movies have gone out of their way to remove any supernatural elements associated with Batman (Ra's Al Ghul for instance isn't immortal), and now they’re supposed to coexist with other Superheroes and Aliens and Demigods?

No effing way is this real.

Not real at all. Not unless there was a really well hidden bit of fine print on the contract Levitt signed when he agreed to be in TDKR

JGL is the new Batman, thats not up for discussion, it's fact. However that is just in the Nolanverse. They will definitely have a Batman film that introduces us to a new Batman that jives well with supernatural folk. What i'm curious about is If this new Superman film bombs, will they still make this Justice League film? With Batman being incompatible and the Green Lantern sorely under preforming its all up to Superman to save the day.

i am skeptical of this info since i think they want the Bruce Wayne character not Nightwing, but I will say that the source is fairly reliable.

i don't think DC has any idea what they are doing.

Got some good news (at least for me),

http://geektyrant.com/news/2012/11/27/joseph-gordon-levitt-is-not-involved-with-justice-league.html

A rumor was recently reported that Joseph Gordon-Levitt would be playingBatman in Warner Bros' Justice League film and possibly make an appearance inMan of Steel.

The rumor stated that "Joseph Gordon-Levitt absolutely will be appearing in Justice League as the new Batman." Well as I expected, the news turned out to be false. Gordon-Levitt's reps have flat out denied that the actor has any kind of involvement with Justice League. Hollywood.com followed up with his reps who "have refuted the rumor entirely." So there you have it.

It would have been nice, but like I said in the original write-up, it makes no sense for Bruce Wayne not to be involved with Justice League. He's a key component to the team, and I just don't see how Justice League could exist without him. I also don't see Levitt's character outside of the universe that Christopher Nolan has created.

If this information was leaked out by studio insiders, maybe it was just to help create some buzz for the upcoming Blu-ray/DVD release of The Dark Knight Rises.

Phew! I was a little worried there for a second.

I'm sorry, but I just can't see Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Batman. He's a great actor, but he doesn't seem badass enough to be the Bat. I would rather see him as Robin.

WB could do a hell of a lot worse then JGL. People thought the same thing about Michael Keaton and he is still my favorite live action Batman.

I really see this as something WB threw out there just to say we acknowledge that Avengers made a shit load of money and are aware that DC has its own version of the Avengers and that it would be nice to cash in on it but we have no fucking clue how to because every thing we make Superhero wise that isn't Batman or animated sucks donkey dicks and we pray to THE ANCIENT ONES that The Man of Steel makes money or else we are boned until we can make another Batman movie.
