@Kraznor: Your argument against The Hurt Locker stems from it's numerous cliches?  I believe that cliches neither make nor break a film, or ones enjoyment of a film.  Most of the greatest films of all time are rife with cliche.  Go back through your favorites list and compare them to Screened's cliche list.  I'm sure you'll understand what I mean.

To the rest of you:  I really should stay out of this topic.  Half of me want's to say "To each his own".  The other half wants to YELL "Why do you hate cinema?!  Did a projectionist rape your dog?!"

I thought Hurt Locker was ok, but it is pretty overrated. I did get a couple chuckles out of the film though, especially when blood jammed a gun.

The Dark Knight: Might be a good film in its own right, but a good Batman movie it is not, and that's what I want from a movie called "The Dark Knight", oddly enough.
Transformers: Both, but the first one seems to get a 'pass' from most people, unlike the sequel.
Smart People: Not sure if a lot of people like this one. But I sure don't.
Braveheart: I don't hate it, but I don't see the big deal. And I've fallen asleep trying at least 3 times.
Juno: Again, I don't hate it. But it comes across as super pretentious to me, and I like just about every actor in it.

The Return of the King. I always thought it was really boring. I loved the other two though.

Blade Runner. I really want to like it since it's supposedly so "up my alley" but it's hard.

The Terminator, Die Hard, Zoolander, Old School, The Informant!, and probably the most surprising one of all...Children of Men. People cream their pants over that film, and I kinda can't stand it. "

it seems that we've finally found our disagreement point, Vince. I love The Informant! and Children of Men

The Boondock Saints II: All the fans of the first one loved it, except me.
Juno: AKA "Listen to all these bands you've never heard of so you can be passive and sarcastic about teenage pregnancy and still look down your nose at everyone around you!"
Wes Craven's New Nightmare: Turning point in the franchise my ass. It's overplotted with shitty special effects and virtually no likable characters.
