O.K., this is a bit subjective, but I am seeking opinions regarding those actors/actresses who just plain creep you out, either because of their roles, their physical appearance, their off-screen personality, or other criteria that gives you the shudders when you think of them or look at them.

I'm not trying to be mean or hateful with this blog.  I am certain there will be one particular actor who will stand out immediately but I won't say his name.   He's often imiitated never duplicated.

Regardless, I will start this one off with my choice and sadly, it's a female.  Amanda Plummer (sp?), the creepy woman from the crapfest that was "So, I Married An Axe Murderer" and "Pulp Fiction".  She's creepy with a capital C to me.

Whom do you elect?

The dude that plays Scarecrow in the new Batman movies. What's up with his eyes?

Tom Cruise and John Travolta. Seeing the things they did in the name of Scientology and the cult like nature of Scientology creeps me out.

One for each gender:  Kathy Bates  and  Willem Dafoe . Such a creepfest, those two!
@GiveUpNed:
 Valid point. I was thinking more along the lines of performances and looks, not off-screen personas, but now that you bring it up the Scientology connection does carry with it a certain creepiness. That also goes of Kirsite Ally, Beck, Nancy Cartwright, Jenna Elfman, Katie Holmes, Juliette Lewis, Giovanni Ribisi and all the other cultists.

After watching Misery, Kathy Bates has never been the same to me.

Fairuza Balk also creeps me out in a hot way.

@Matt:  Damn, those are excellent choices.  However I loved DaFoe in "Shadow of the Vampire".  He was perfectly cast!  Bates--yup. She's played wackos rather well.  Just to add,  her nude scene was totally unnecessary in that movie with Jack Nicholson (the name of it escapes me).

@Snail:   O.K., with her, I don't get why so many people think she's "all that".  Don't get me wrong, she's not bad looking but I don't get the fawning for her.  However I can see where you may think that, maybe it's her lips?

@GiveUpNed:  Yeah, I don't get the whole Scientology thing.   I find them to be "different" but personally won't call them creepy....just yet.  It is your opinion though!

@Balls:
He's got some type of effeminate vibe going, but I think women may find him attractive.  Cillian Murphy I think his name is.   I wouldn't have cast him for the part, but he actually did a good job of being creepy and a bit of a loser, which Scarecrow is.  He is a bit creepy.

Micheal Cera.

Even though I'm a tough, robotic cop, I told get creep out.

Kristen Bell.  I don't know why.  Sometime about her makes me uncomfortable.

@Balls:
That's funny.  I can understand what you're saying.  She's got that "faux Goth/I'm gonna F your brains out with a knife" vibe going.  She is quite the looker.  She was the only saving grace from the weird ass remake of The Island of Dr. Moreau.

I can see why to an extent.  Maybe she's too "Barbie" in a way?

Johnny Depp and Tim Burton creep me out no end. Obsessions with children's fairy tales, trying hard to be quirky and, in Tim Burton's case, working with Jeffery Jones, Paul Reubens and adapting Lewis Caroll, all of whom are sex offenders.

@HandsomeDead:
Whoa.  Never ever thought of any of that in such terms.  Your opinion, but I am not familiar with Jeffrey Jones.  Paul Reubens--well, I only know of his one "offense", and that was quite some time ago.  While it's not pleasant to discuss,  he was only masturbating, albeit in an adult theatre. I don't know, I can partly understand but I don't necessarily think he's an evil or creepy person as a result.  Unfortunately,  it didn't help he was trying to hide his identity at the time with the long hair.

Do you really think Tim Burton has an unhealthy obsession with children's fairy tales?  Many of these tales were also aimed at adults but even if you can argue they aren't I really fail to see your line of thinking.  Many writers have given "twists" to fairy tales, ranging from books to comic books, and actually that's a bit of a trend right now in comics, as I'm also a bit of a comic geek.   Burton may seem eccentric but I fail to see where he's "creepy" but again, that is your opinion.

Thanks for the comment.

Anthony Hopkins creeps the fuck out of me
I like his acting though

Jackie Earle Haley

His past few roles have just been "Hey he's good at being the creeper guy! I mean he cut off his own dick in Little Children! He can play any creepy guy he wants!' .....and he can.

Whatever happened to The Bad News Bears days?

@ImHungry:
That's funny.  You know what, I HATED him in Bad News Bears.  Granted, it was  his character  I hated SOOOO much, I wanted to jump through the screen and beat the s@!t out of him.   It also had to do with the fact that Tatum O'Neil liked him which I thought sucked!  Ha.  He's a great actor though, despite doing "Nightmare on Elm Street", which I've not seen.  Guess he needed to pay off some bills.

Someone mentioned Kirsten Bell. She's a full on vegan. Those type of people freak me out.

Sarah Jessica Parker is a good one. Tim Burton is a good choice, I despise his movies (except... maybe.......... Edward Scissorhands).. Rob Lowe's obvious facial surgery also kind of freaks me out. The dude nearly looks identical to his early 90's counterpart. and that's just not right.
