This forum has probably been done before, but I thought I'd start a forum where you choose a film (or film series) you love and recast it. Now this doesn't necessarily mean making a modern remake, if you like you can take a new film and recast it with old actors and an old director. I'll start the ball rolling with a 1960s version of The Lord of the Rings, directed by David Lean, with the some of the following cast members.
- Alec Guinness-Gandalf
- Claude Rains-Saruman
- Oliver Reed-Aragorn
- Peter O'Toole-Legolas
