EDIT 3: Thankfully, this weekend, people chose to go see The Dark Knight Rises again rather than either of the new wide releases. Well, they both bombed (well, not Step Up technically, due to how damn cheap those films are to make) but at least the decent looking limited releases did well. So, no more time wasting, let's get to the results! Remember; it's one point for being closest, two for being dead on for wide releases and two for being within $500 either side of a limited release.

Well, ain't this interesting? As we head into the final double points week, we have 4 very clear contenders for the title of King/Queen Of The Box Office Winners League!

And so concludes Week 10! Next week: The big finale! And with double points, it really is all or nothing! Who's going to take the victory? ? Can one of the backmarkers spring out of nowhere and take it? Will anyone else utilise the awesome power of Mary Elizabeth Winstead in order to gain themselves points? Or can

My predictions (at last)!

FilmPrediction
The Watch$28 million
Step Up Revolution$12.2 million

I expect a very soft opening for The Watch. I think Stiller and Vaughn's star power is about empty and few Americans know who Ayoade is. Jonah Hill will possibly put butts in seats, but I'm not expecting much because, quite frankly, those trailers are awful! If there isn't a laugh in the trailers then people won't go and see the movie. Plus, the last minute name change will probably have confused those who saw initial trailers and liked what they saw. Few people are talking about it so I doubt it's going to do well. Shame, because I like everyone involved and, if nothing else, I want it to be funny.

Step Up Revolution (which has the far more family friendly title here in the UK of "Miami Heat", hehe), I imagine, will continue the downward trajectory that the Step Up movies keep charting when it comes to opening weekends. The bubble has finally burst on dance movies, 3D movies and especially 3D dance movies and I think Summit are about to find that out the hard way. This'll bomb. As for the number, I simply took another $3 million off of Step-Up 3-D's opening! Each film opens about $3 million less than the last, after all! Also, can I just mention how much of a missed opportunity the filmmakers had to name the flick Step Up 4 The Revolution? Because, if you're going to make a movie franchise that genuinely has a movie called Step Up 2 The Streets, the least you can do is go the whole hog.

Ai Weiwei... I pulled a number out of my arse. Sue me.

Finally, I have a feeling that Killer Joe will be the surprise of the weekend. I've heard nothing but good things about it and I think that film buffs (who've already seen The Dark Knight Rises eight times) are going to take that positive buzz and turn it into ticket sales. Lots of ticket sales. Especially for an NC-17 movie (by the by, I'm amazed those sorts of films actually get released!). I may have highballed it slightly, but I will not be surprised if the numbers are closer to my prediction than not when the totals come in. Also, I actually think this looks really good. Just saying.

I'm playing for keeps this week! I need those gorram points!

Today is your last day to get those predictions in! Sorry for the short turnaround on this. But, as per usual, if your predictions are not in by midnight tonight they WILL NOT be counted! So, hurry it up
