Guys. Gals. Recently I've been thinking about YouTube - or community video in general. I'd be interested to learn if any of our esteemed community members runs a YouTube (or similar) video channel? Do you regularly make videos about TV or Film? Maybe you'd like to but don't have the time/resources? Tell me about it.

Are there YT channels that you subscribe too and would recommend to the rest of us? Add anything you'd like to this thread regarding making video. Whether it be commentary on movies/tv, or your own original drama, or mashups of every Final Destination kill, share what you think community video is good for. Thanks!

Food for thought, Joey's Final Destination montage...

I'm sure a lot of people know of hh1edits because of the Anti-Productivity articles, but for those who don't, do make sure to watch all of his videos. They're awesome.

EDIT: Kinda related to the previous video. I'm not the biggest CollegeHumor fan, but this video is fucking hilarious.

Here is a documentary I made about Australia during my study abroad time there (& edited for my senior video project):

Part 1:

Part 2:

It is kinda related to TV as this aired on RVTV in Ashland, Oregon.

Here's mine! http://www.youtube.com/user/geekanerd

Geekanerd is the name of my old blog.

You should all definitely watch this Dark Knight thing I cut to my favorite Pixies song. It's one of the most fangirlish things I've ever done, which is really saying something.

@AHR: That Wolverine video is fantastic!

I think everyone already knows Red Letter Media and their great reviews/critiques of mostly Star Wars films. I love how they throw in a continuous story about Mr. Plinkett and his hilariously twisted ways.

Oh man, I did two student projects this past summer for my first ever production courses. They are god awful.

I'm tempted to actually post them here.

i personally like this guy azurite reaction, as he does entertaining gameplay commentaries and he does wierd games a good channel when gb is on break

then theres this guy...

this guy athenewins is really something else, the guy is really a talker and a powerful one at that and he does make some legit points about youtube and the way it works and how to increase its traffic

i also want to shout out to this guy swifty as well, because just like whiskey media , he is awesome and made a huge following just by being a awesome personality

hot chicks and pc games aside, you gotta give it up to the dude between 2:26 - 2:35 in the video, he just tears up just because he had a fan meet him and the fan started tearing up, you just dont see that anymore

this guy and athenewins makes me believe that there are good people outside of the heaven that is whiskeymedia

Hiya! I'm pretty new to the site! I run a low-budget web series that's going to be concluding it's "final season." We didn't get very far. Be prepared. It's pretty bizarre. I'm happy to be a member!  http://www.youtube.com/user/wedomonsters?feature=mhee

I mainly make simple vlogs (not daily) talking about random life events or specific topics. But I'm also a filmmaker and film lover so I do tend to talk about movies at time and I will be putting up my own short films in the future. Plus, my vlogs tend to have higher production values than other vloggers since I spend more time colour correcting, editing, etc. Check them out if you'd like :) Here's an example of one of my videos. Not a vlog, just a little montage.

I also recommend http://youtube.com/filmriot and http://youtube.com/filmstate

I really only have time to focus on my own videogame based mainly Interview channel Reviewcast which is based on a site I own called thereviewcast. I have pimped most of the stuff I do there on GB already so I won't  suffocate you with details. Why I haven't done more video stuff for whiskey site?. I'm scared that it'll be all for naught. I have dipped my toes into the idea really doing video content just for either for giantbomb or screened but I don't know if enough people would be interested in seeing a 19 year old talk like he knows something. Also I had the idea of doing kind of a question of the week show where the whiskey community would talk about what is coming out that week but I thought that might be overly ambitious.  That being said I would love to do a defending your movie on Spider-man 3.

There's a lot of video contest entries up there, as well as a few odds and ends. I haven't been able to do as many personal projects recently on account of things like real life, but I'm looking forward to getting back into it, and maybe dipping my toes in stuff like mashups.

More recent spot done for work:

The 80s tribute band I'm in has been playing the same New Years Eve gig for the past six or seven years. Two years ago, we started making some videos to show while the crowd files in, including tributes to the stars from the 80s that passed away during the year. We have a really talented friend of the band that films/edits them all for us, and people seem to enjoy them at the shows.

Here's the tribute video from last year:

This is more of a traditional music video (I'm the guy in the green shirt):

I'm sure we'll be making more like this for this coming New Year's Eve show as well. Here's the channel: http://www.youtube.com/legwarmersband

What? They let YOU change topic titles?! Preposterous!

Also, it didn't change the URL, so everyone can still see how bad you are at grammar! :)

Awesome thread. Great to see other people's work! I've done some stuff, but it's spread out over a few different youtube accounts. Here's a super short film I produced last year (it is "super", "short", and "super-short")

A trailer for a short film I wrote, directed, and produced

An awesome Back to the Future themed wedding intro video that I helped a friend shoot/produce

...and a music video I directed a few years back.

Hope you guys like 'em.
