I'm only making this post because after seeing The Grey I immediately came home home and watched Taken for the first time since I've heard so much praise for it. Also, if you're super, super, sensitive about spoilers you probably shouldn't read this. But to be honest I am mean like REALLY crazy about them.

Alright, now that I've gotten that out of the way:

1. In The Grey, after the plane crash Neeson says to a dying man "You are going to die". He is very upfront about this, and says it to the man simply, so he can accept his fate. In Taken, when he's on his phone with his daughter when the kidnappers are in the apartment, he tells her "They're going to take you", and then gets her to tell him any information on the criminals. Can you spot the similarity here?

2. Liam Neeson just so happens to be in two separate movies out of nowhere with him being a total badass? I think that would be a bit too unlikely.

3. Are you ready for this one? Cause it's a doozy. In Taken, when talking with his old friends about past missions, he mentions that after leaving his mission to get to his daughter's birthday party, that his bosses sent him on a crap assignment to Alaska to punish him. ALASKA.

That's right mother fucker's, I've cracked it. The Grey is actually a prequel to Taken.

Yea, my mind was blown too. I suppose it was pretty obvious, really.

@Sgtpierceface: Oh man, this has all kinds of implications! What if ALL Liam Neeson movies take place in the same universe? Where does the Phantom Menace fit in?

I'm gonna start writing some fan fiction to fill in the middle of the story.

That makes a lot of sense, because at the end of the Grey I wasn't thinking "he's going out like a boss" I was thinking "those wolves are fucked now that he found their den". Naturally they couldn't show the very last scene of the movie because everyone in Peta would have a stroke at the same time. But it goes without saying, them wolves never stood a chance.
