This week on the podcast I don't know if we're going to have an official theme, but I want to talk about The Newsroom. Maybe we'll have a wider topic as a whole, or maybe we'll just dedicate the whole episode to it, but one thing is for sure, I'm ready to get into some heated discussion about this show, so who is with me?

And hey, if you don't want to talk about that, then we are up to the next set of installments in the "Screened Pups' Favorite Movie List" and this time we're going to talk about some Tarantio movies, a hipster fighting his girlfriend's ex's, and a bunch of movies about going to war. So who's down?

I haven't seen any of The Newsroom but I am curious to see it and mostly to hear your opinions. But I do want to hear more of the movie list. I'm going through the news to see what's worth talking about.

@jackanderson: Maybe we'll mention it in passing but it's probably not worth going into detail. I'm not very knowledgable about TMNT and if it's that bad then you shouldn't force yourself to read it. But dare we even talk about this?

I laughed a couple of times in that. Granted, I groaned more, but it was overall harmless. Ain't got much to add on The Newsroom personally, though Scott Pilgrim and Tarantino are my zones, motherfuckers. That said, I've been clogging up your airwaves too much, so I shall summarise my input to these, short, fairly contextless bullet points and I'll enjoy the next one as, most likely, a LISTENER O:.

• Tarantino's best film is either Jackie Brown or Reservoir Dogs. They are both in a league above Pulp Fiction.
• Tarantino's worst film is Inglorious Basterds because fuck that movie theatre.
• Scott Pilgrim is at it's best as a comedy, the fights are awesome but drag it down.
• Wallace is one of the greatest characters in the last 10 years.
• I read that TMNT script too, it's hilarious, did wonders for my own scriptwriting confidence.
• I end with a question: Best Tarantino Character? Is it Mister Pink or Jackie Brown. No other characters even come close, you heathens :P

If it's at all possible, could the podcast be sometime during the week? I'm not sure whether I'll be around this weekend because I may have to travel for work stuff.

I'll see if we can do it mid week, so how about two on Thursday? I won't be able to talk past four so it will have to be short. (all these times are eastern standard time, so for Jackanderson and Tylea that would be roughly seven your time)

Okay ignore what I just said since I just found out that Mr Mazz can't make Thursday and he's the only other one who has seen Newsroom (PS, maybe we could also just talk about our favorite political films so that it isn't just me and him talking about Newsroom for an hour) so how does Friday suite you guys?

Friday works for me. Well anytime that isn't the weekend works for me.

@jackanderson: That's perfectly fine as long as you don't mind having the last two episodes spoiled for you.

Oh... if you've got Mazz dropping out, I'll probably be along then. 7PM Friday works great for me - unfortunately haven't seen any newsroom because I only have Freeview. (It's a UK thing).

@jackanderson: Eh, not really. I mean in the final episode they wrap up the whole "Will Will get fired? What about this phone tapping thing?" storyline, but they wrap it up literally with just a "and its over, nothing happened" kind of resolution, so I wouldn't even call it a spoiler.

@Tylea002: Hey man we'd love to have you on even if he is there, we'll cover the screened pups favorite movie list and news (and you can rant about the Avengers Commentary because that is BS) so you'll have plenty to talk about.
