Tomorrow is the day the Academy Awards nominations are announced. Today is the day the Razzie Award nominations are announced. Today is a great and wonderful day as the worst (and I mean worst) movies made this year are recognized as actually being, well, the worst. The "biggest loser" was the latest and last installment in The Twilight Saga, which was nominated for 11 awards in 10 categories. How you ask? It was nominated twice in the worst screen couple category with KPatz and the creepy coupling of Taylor Lautner and his 12 year old "love" Mackenzie Foy being recognized.

After sweeping the Razzies with Jack and Jill last year once again remains one of the worst in pop culture acting and made the list once again. What happened to you Mr. Gilmore Madison?! That's My Boy has been nominated for Worst Picture, Worst Director and many many more.

Oh and if you were wondered how RiRi's first foray into a film career went? She has been nominated for Worst Supporting Actress in Battleship. Guess she should stick to making music.

What is my favorite nomination, you ask? Tyler Perry and his drag. Enough said.

Dose The Oogieloves in Big Balloon Adventure really deserve to be there? No one saw it

I'm glad the twilight series is over, because the razzie nominees will start to get way more interesting!

While Twilight is no Citizen Kane, there is no way that it can be more cringe worthy than That's My Boy.

I have to say that David Hasselhoff did a good job playing a mockery of himself. That was the only positive thing about that movie. Maybe put Bryan Cranston in Total Recall in his place.

Sadly the Razzies have become worse than the Oscars or Emmys or Golden Globes or any of those other awards shows, because you can honestly look at the list of nominees for the Razzies and tell that they already had their list made up before they actually saw the movies.

Pretty pedestrian choices also I hate to say it but Battleship isn't bad enough to be nominated and though I haven't seen it the final Twilight movie was actually fairly well reviewed. Honestly if (I can't believe I am defending these movies) Battleship wasn't based on a board game or the final Twilight film wasn't associated with the previous films they wouldn't be on the list save for Rhianna's acting. Just remember The Razzies once nominated Stanley Kubrick for worst director for The Shining.

I'm pretty shocked The Devil Inside wasn't on there. It's pretty bad as far as movies go for last year.

@obscurefan: Funny you mention that. posted an interesting article on Twitter earlier today about that exact subject.

me too. BATTLESHIP was a lot of fun.

I always hate the Razzies. They are so desperate to include big stars and noteworthy flops in their nominations they don't even try to make fun of truly terrible movies. Im not saying they should target indie movies, but don't just bash a big-budget studio film for doing poorly. Seriously, did anyone think GHOST RIDER: SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE was a better movie than BATTLESHIP?

also, why is OOGIELOVES on here? I didn't see it but it doesn't seem like a deserved spot. Isn't it bad enough for the filmmakers it is one of the biggest flops, do people have to make fun of them? I'm all for top ten worst lists, but I don't think this movie should be on it. It's only crime was to not make money.

I heard the last Twilight film had a pretty awesome climatic final fight, like if everybody on the set used it to vent out their absolute hatred for the series.

Also, d'fuck is an Oogielove and why do I want to smash them with a comically oversized hammer?

I'm probably in the Minority on this, but I thought Madea's Witness Protection was hilarious. I rented it one night, watched it at home late at night, and I found myself laughing a lot. Say what you will about Tyler Perry, his Madea movies are very entertaining and really funny.

Also, Jessica Biel was not terrible at all in the Total Recall remake. It was just decent, and it was also fun to see her and Kate Beckingsale pummel each other in one of the fight scenes.

As much as I like Adam Sandler, I have no desire to see either Jack & Jill, or That's My Boy. He's a funny guy, but he has done some truly awful movies lately. Grown Ups was decent, but not terrible, in my opinion.

Finally, I'm glad Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance got nominated. It was the worst movie I saw last year.

GHOST RIDER didn't get nominated (except for the "Worst Sequel" category).

Ghost Rider 2: Spirit of Vengeance, This was a Bad Movie, he kept doing this eye thing over and over again, it was strange, not scary.

Total Recall, some of you liked this movie really?

Wrath of the Titans was pretty bad

Cloud Atlas, why isn't this movie on here??

Just saw THE GUILT TRIP and Barbara Streisand was hilarious. Fuck the Razzies!

I never liked the idea of handing out insulting awards to people. I'm sure they're aware its bad.... Except Twilight, it deserves every Razzie here.

So? I enjoyed Surf Ninjas, Armageddon and Star Wars Episode III, but I won't sit here and defend them as "good" movies.
