Joss Whedon will not JUST be Writing and Directing Avengers 2, but will be involved with the Marvel TV show.

You may commence rejoicing. I know I am.

I'm glad Whedon is getting more work. But it'd nice to see another original work from him.

And for that reason, I'm far more excited for this TV Show than the film itself, in that capacity. I don't know the level of his involvement, but that could just end up being a Whedon show that ends up in the Marvel universe.

@Tylea002: Is the show original characters or is it going to be established comic characters? Hopefully the Marvel TV show is nothing like their previous attempt.

@RockinKemosabe: No idea, but the article does say creating. I'm personally hoping for a Shield Police Procedual, with Phil Coulson and Jasper Sitwell (who showed up for like 2 minutes in the Avengers, and was in The Consultant) in the main roles. I'm sure whilst some of the names may be from the comics, Whedon will basically be shaping his own characters and themes. He put his original stamp on the X-Men, so I'm beyond pumped for that TV Show, whatever it is.
