I thought it's time we had one of these threads too.

Alien 3 is much better than Aliens.

I think the Star Wars prequels are watchable and mostly enjoyable movies and receive too much hate and ire just because they weren't great Star Wars films.

@Mr_skeleton: Oh man, you're going to like my Aliens and Alien 3 articles coming up. ;)

Anyway, my turn. AHEM

Musicals are one of the greatest genres in cinema, one of its purest expressions, and I think people who discount them as silly lack joy in their hearts.

The Shining embodies the worst qualities of Stephen King's writing and is a cheesy, poorly acted mess of a film whose only redemptive quality is Jack Nicholson's performance.

Hot Fuzz is the greatest action movie ever made.

Also: I love Seth Rogen and pretty much every movie he's been in.

Jared Hess is a talented filmmaker, whose works have a lot of great heart and humor to them, as well as a visual style that may be familiar, but is fun and enticing to the eye in its own right.

I'm not the biggest fan of Lost in Translation.

Super Bad is not a good movie. I don't care how much Emma Stone is in there. Jonah Hill and Michael Cera ruin everything for me.

Saving Private Ryan is awful. I couldn't watch pass the first twenty minutes because it was boring. Maybe I wasn't feeling too good when I saw it or maybe it's just that one critically acclaimed movie that I loathe. Also, I don't think Matt Damon is that good of an actor.

Am I allowed to argue with the opinions in this thread? Because there is literally no way that Alien 3 is better than Aliens. No way.

I would agree with you there sir. Of course, it's been probably 12 years since I saw Alien3 so maybe my perception would change.

Summer Glau is ugly, I says. She's good at dying in Dollhouse though. Dollhouse spoilers in the block. Unless you're on the mobile site, then I'm sorry. Not sorry about Summer Glau though.

I don't think Inception is all that great.

I don't know if this unpopular or not but The Lord of the Rings is the best trilogy.

The scenes in which Hank and Walt are together are the worst part of Breaking Bad.

My Little Pony:Friendship Is Magic is a great show.

I don't care for Mad Men

I can't help but look down on people who watch and enjoy CBS sitcoms and are under the age of 50.  I know it is wrong to judge someone based on their viewing habits but I can't help but thinks shows like Two and Half Men or Big Bang Theory are funny.

RIcky Gervais is a horrible stand up and his podcast sucks.  His sitcoms however are hilarious.

Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job! is hilarious.

-Do The Right Thing was an awful movie: I had no sympathy for the main character and it just gave me reason to dislike Spike Lee and his black power agenda.

-The Blue Collar Comedy Tour is a very funny movie and all four comedians had great chemistry.

-Haters have every right to hate bronies; we can be annoying and creepy and unapologetic about it.

-I refuse to watch Community due to a hatred I have towards community colleges.

-I love Jar Jar Binks and he was my favorite part about The Phantom Menace. Still is.

-I don't get why canon is such a big deal.

-"Derpy" is offensive and if the changes, though tragic, were in the original version there would've been no complaints.

I am really not a fan of A Clockwork Orange. I'm not sure if this is to Kubrik's credit or not, but I know that I never want to see that movie again.

I agree with this, though I don't much care for Ron White.

I didn't hate the ending of Mass Effect 3.

Avatar is the most overrated movie in the history of movies.

How could anyone possibly disagree with this?

This sentence makes no sense to me.
