THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE

We don't yet know much about The Hunger Games: Catching Fire beyond what we know from the source material of the book. The new teaser poster for Catching Fire pretty much keeps it that way. It is very similar to the original teaser poster for The Hunger Games, just with a more defined Mockingjay and more realistic fire. The second film in the series should be good…the one I'm really worried about is the third installment where….nothing….happens.

CARRIE

I'm not sure what I am more scared of, the remake of the movie Carrie or Julianne Moore in this poster. It brilliantly captures the essence of what I can only assume will be a very very creepy film. With the subtle red around her eyes to signify demon fire and the pale wrinkled face, I simply can't stop looking at this poster. It's pretty brilliant.

DETENTION OF THE DEAD

I saw a stage performance of this and am so shocked it is being made into a movie, I can't really even talk about it. If you can tell from the poster, a group of the most stereotypical high school students (the jock, the cheerleader, the nerd, the goth girl, etc, etc) get locked in a school and then everyone outside this one room turns into zombies. Yes, it's as bad as it sounds.

THIS IS THE END/detention-of-the-dead/16-211611/

What do you get when you cram a punch of funny and somewhat well-known celebrities into a party at James Franco's house during the apocalypse. Why, This is the End, of course. The movie that is co-directed by Seth Rogen (his directorial debut) and Evan Goldberg and follows fictional versions of James Franco, Jonah Hill, Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel, Danny McBride and Craig Robinson during a global apocalypse.

Only movie I'm interested in on this list is the second Huger Games, although I still need to see the first movie.

I created a page for Detention of the Dead and I also found the page for This is the End. It turns out that the movie was originally called End of the World. Someone must have forgotten to request a name change for the movie.

All the posters related to Carrie have been pretty awesome. I'm a little weary about horror remakes in general especially with the first one being a classic, but the cast and promo material is starting to convince me.

that CARRIE POSTER looks like it could compliment this fan art one that came out like six months ago:

also, it looks a lot like this official one for THOR:

I'm going to have to respectfully disagree on the Carrie poster. I think it looks like Julianne Moore doing an anti-drug public service campaign. The images from the original Carrie are so iconic they are very difficult to replace. (...and they gave me nightmares!)

Phew, I could go a long time without ever seeing Carrie posters. ;)

Looking forward to Catching Fire and This is the End.

@fables87:

I'm excited about Catching Fire. I read all three of the books, and I enjoyed the film adaptation of the first book. I hope it turns out well.

Also, the posters for the remake of Carrie are so far pretty creepy-looking.
