Wana read some screenplays?

It is getting to be award season time so now all that shadow politicking is going on for who's movie gets nominated for what. One of the ways the studios help out is by putting up websites like this one. It's advertising for Ted, Snow White and the Huntsman, This is 40, The Lorax, and Les Miserables. All but the screenplay for Les Miserables is online as a pdf. I suspect that will get updated once the movie actually comes out. I'm actually kind of interested to read This is 40 after I see it.

I've never really understood the appeal of screenplays. Why would I read something that's so similar to a movie? Maybe I think that just because reading isn't my favorite thing either.

I enjoy reading screenplays to movies that never get made. Either they get drastically changed in another draft or they were too awesome to be committed to film.
