Weirdest thing you've seen someone do in a movie theater

I forget what movie it was but a bunch of idiots brought a toaster, a loaf of bread and a jar of peanut butter into the theater and started making toast during the movie. It was incredibly surreal. Tell me your wacky, wild stories of the theater, Screened people!

I saw people take their small children to Pan's Labyrinth, and then quickly leaving after all the gore and monster type stuff started. Strange that they just blocked out the actual rating for the film and thought it was kids fairytale.

Other than that, just your normal loud teenagers talking through the entire film for some reason. Not sure why they pay the money. Oh and I saw someone try to fight some other kid when he recognized him a couple seats ahead.

You used to be able to get away with smoking weed etc in the cinema near me when I lived in Leeds. It was a really old 30's cinema and we found the switch to the stage lights at the end of one of the back rows on the balcony so you used to be able to freak people out by flashing them on and off really quickly.

I've also been in a couple of cinemas with people trying to get away with furtive crack smoking and some cases of extreeemly heavy petting. But I suppose that's pretty common.

Anywhere you turn the lights off people tend to get a bit naughty.

Well, I was watching Paranormal Activity 3 and unfortunately it's a very quiet film mostly.

Some couple was sat just behind me to the right, I thought it was one person but it turns out this guy had his girlfriend sat on him while they watched. I could hear disturbing heavy breathing and other strange sounds all when it got to the quiet parts!

In one movie I had someone walk into the theater about 5 minutes into the film and just stand and watch.

Originally I assumed he didn't have a ticket or perhaps worked there and was taking a break with a movie.

An employee soon walked in and asked to see his ticket, and he totally had one. So for some reason he wanted to watch this movie standing up for two hours.

I always try to go early afternoon to avoid the weird ones. It's just usually old people when I go but I do occasionally get the weird audible people (breathing, odd laughing, etc), nothing too exciting. I think to the toast one takes the cake so far.

Didn't notice anything else weird in a theater except for seeing some old dude wear socks with their sandals. That bullshit went out of style centuries ago!

Welp, I sat two rows behind someone who vomited into the walkway. And guess what, from where I was sitting I could smell it. That was the first and last time I went to a dollar theater. My stupid friends love The Dark Knight that much.

I was seeing I Am Legend with a couple of friends the summer it came out (I think it was a summer). The entire movie this African American middle aged couple was sitting behind us talking to each other for the ENTIRE MOVIE, to the point that pretty much the entire theater was annoyed with it. But no one had said anything yet as we were still not quite to the tipping point of getting fed up. Also it had been storming outside and the power had actually gone out a few times. This is what happened:

INT. MOVIE THEATER - DAY

The power in the theater goes out during a particularly tense scene when Will Smith's character is hanging by his foot from a trap. The audience turns to each other as the house lights come back on and annoyed murmuring is heard throughout. The black couple who have been talking the whole movie is even louder than before.

Suddenly a very large middle aged WHITE MAN sitting near the front stands up and turns toward the black couple.

WHITE MAN: Shut the fuck up!!

The BLACK MAN quickly stands up and begins to stomp down the aisle towards the white man.

BLACK MAN: (mumbling) Oh yeah. Oh you want some of this. You motherfucker...

The black man is approaching the white man, ready to fight. The audience is silently watching this new movie playing out in front of them.

As the black man descends the steps of the walkway, the white man leaves the theater to go get the manager. The black man follows him out, still mumbling fighting words.

The BLACK WOMAN stands up and begins to leave the theater.

BLACK WOMAN: Ohhhh no. Lordy he can't go to prison again.

She quickly exits the theater and it descends into silence. The audience all look at each other.

Just then, the lights go back down and the movie starts right where it left off.

@cmpLtNOOb: They cut that out of the DVD release, I was annoyed. Relegated to the deleted scenes section.

I had the same thing happen when I watched Sin City when Elijah Woods gets treated by Mickey Rourke

These teenagers in front of us smuggled in a pie with a bunch of plates and plastic cutlery and proceed to share the pie with everyone sitting near them.

It was cherry.
