I have an irrational soft-spot for Pan's Labyrinth.

I'm not sure why you'd call it irrational, it's a great movie.

The first Hellboy is one of my favorite "sit down with a big bowl of popcorn" movies.  I just get a kick out of everything in that film.  It's not just how remarkable everything looks, it's the sense of humor that all the characters have that makes it so charming to me.  Most superhero movies are flat or too serious, but this one is very irreverent while also being action packed and even romantic.  The follow-up was good, too but a bit more depressing than the original.  There were many shades of gray in Hellboy and the Golden Army.  I haven't seen all of Del Toro's work, but I've seen several others and they are fine, too.  Pan's Labyrinth is good, no question, but I can't watch it with the same carefree joy I can the Hellboy flicks.

Pan's Labyrinth is number one for me and Hellboy is a close second.

I really loved Pan's Labyrinth (in fact, I should probably watch that again soon enough). After that, I've only seen the 2 Hellboys an while they were perfectly fine, they didn't really hit the same heights as PL.

Pan's Labyrinth. For sure. I'm also really psyched for Don't Be Afraid of the Dark, despite the fact that Del Toro's only producing.

Pan's Labyrinth is a great movie. Hopefully Don't Be Afraid of the Dark will be my new one, it looks really promising.

Hellboy for me. I liked the sequel, but not as much.

I have yet to see Pan's Labyrinth, Devil's Backbone, or Cronos, but I'm definitely gonna rush to see PL. People have been telling me for ages that movie's fantastic. Dunno why I haven't watched it yet.

Dunno why, but I love Pan's Labyrinth.

I'm still hoping that his At The Mountains Of Madness adaptation will get made some day. I'm sure a fuckload of people are actually.
