With all of the mid-season finales, there is just not enough on TV tonight to justify a whole "What to Watch". I fear it might be that way the next few weeks, so I'm going to put them on hold a bit. However, I'll keep an eye out and if there is anything important I'll throw one up. Also, let me know if there is anything that you think deserves a call out!

I don't understand the midseason break and I don't really remember it as a kid. Christmas shows now air in late November and early December? Just doesn't feel right.

This is conspiracy. When I actually have time to watch TV, nothing good is on.

Watch some DVDs. I hear you can see a lot on DVDs these days.

@FinalDasa: I just had a thought and I wonder if it has to do with the fact that we used to have reruns. Oftentimes, there would be two or three new episodes of a show and then a repeat episode would air. With DVRs and serialized shows they can't do that anymore, so instead they just go off the air for several weeks. I know that writers usually need hiatus time to catch up with production so perhaps they have just built this in during the "mid-season break."

That being said, I agree with @Acura_Max and it's very annoying that it happens during the holidays when most people actually have time to watch television
