My choice is 'Born on the Fourth of July' should have won Best Picture for 1989. er forgive Wizard of OZ 1933/1939 mistake.

When I first came to the thread I thought "Oh this will be easy to choose." Then I saw it and now I have no frakking idea what to choose...

This is a really tough choice, because most of these movies are phenomenal. I went with Goodfellas, though, because holy shit, Joe Pesci.

Three-Way Dance between Pulp Fiction, Goodfellas, and Saving Private Ryan.  Gotta go with my favorite movie Pulp Fiction.

How Green Was My Valley over Citizen Kane? Absolutely the right answer here. Assuming you've seen Citizen Kane, anyway. I assume that's just on everyone's shame list.

How in the hell is Up not on this list, and Avatar, from the very same year, is? Up, to me, was easily the best picture of the decade, and is one of the best cinematic achievements of our time. I love every fibre of that film's being, and should be voting for that right now.

Out of these, I'd go with Pulp Fiction. It was that or Strangelove. Pulp Fiction isn't even my favourite Tarantino film or film from 1994, but what you gonna do? It was fucking awesome,

I would probably choose Raiders of the Lost Ark, just because it is a true classic, and there's not a single dull moment in the film.

I had to pick There Will Be Blood, but I really enjoyed Up In the Air.
