Now I don't often watch pro wrestling. The WWE as a entertainment product has been creativly dull, stagnatnt other such words for a good while now to me. I did though watch Brock Lesnar return to Monday Night RAW and aquired his return match with John Cena, that actually was kinda awesome. This move to 3 hours though has me interested mainly for this quote.

Starting with the historic 1,000th episode of Raw on July 23, The WWE Universe will have new ways to get involved in the show through WWE.com and social media by deciding matches, stipulations, Superstar development and more.
"The WWE Universe is one of the most socially active and passionate fan bases in all of television," Chris McCumber and Jeff Wachtel, co-presidents USA Network, said. "The powerful three-hour block of live TV truly makes USA the year-round destination for young male viewers on Monday nights."

WWE.com

In this "Reality Era" WWE has been going whole hog on getting over via social media. They love them some twitter its really annoying honestly. I doubt how much real "input' people will have with this but the idea of getting your fanbase engaged has piqued my interest. Live TV be it sports, concerts are now the hottest thing in TV since they are DVR proof to a degree. Extending RAW another hour though just doesn't seem like the right move. They had previously used 3 horus episodes as a special attraction. This will give writers now 6 hours of TV to fill instead of 5 and its not like creative is know for being well creative at the moment.

3 hours is a long time though I'm not going to sit down and watch it all hell I don't even watch RAW regulary (YouTube clips FTW)

WCW Monday Nitro use to be 3 Hours long and look what happened to it.
Honestly 3 hour Raws usually suck unless it is there "Draft" special.  Typically you get the same amount of wrestling or some times less as the two hour shows and if you missed the first hour they usually recap what happened every 15 minutes.   I think 2 Hours is the right length for a wrestling show.

Personally I prefer Smackdown over Raw because there is more wrestling and they now have Claudio from ROH.

I did get into a bad habit a few weeks back of watching wrestling. And while I was entertained through some of it the show was mostly build up and drama. Wrestling takes a back seat to the dumb story lines they can cook up.

In my opinion this will over-stretch the already not good writing and turn a laughable "sport" into something just plain sad.

It's been a decade since I watched regularly, but I'm guessing it's a bad idea. There's enough filler as it is.
