Came out in 1993,one of the best comedies ever made.Enjoyable as hell, most of it is a spoof of Rambo, but theres some other spoofs there too.If you haven't watched it,go download it or rent it,but i dont think you can rent it since its a old movie, but damn its good.

I actually saw this movie as a kid before seeing the actual Rambo. Going back to it after seeing Rambo later in life made this a much more enjoyable experience the 2nd time around. The body count ticker was probably my favourite part.

It sure is one of the best spoofs ever made.  It makes me laugh all of the time when I see it.

Both Hot Shots movies are unreasonably good. Then again, they come from a time when parodies were earnest and truly enthusiastic about their subject matter. Arguably some of Chuck Sheen's best work.

Part Deux is a great movie, although it wasn't as good as the original.

How is it a hidden gem?

Probably my favourite of the Zuckerman films.

When I was 9 watching this on a saturday morning was a ritual. Now that I'm older & wiser I kinda appreciate the first movie more. Both are still great though.
