Someone posted this as one of the movies they hated, which inspired me to post this.  
 
I thought this movie was brilliant. Who's with me?! 
 
 Best acting by Vin Diesel imo...

This movie is a modern masterpiece. It stands up against any Pixar movie made since.

Yea, whoever knocked this movie is clearly deranged. I remember the first time I saw this was years back when Cartoon Network had some feature called "Cartoon Theater" (which I believe later spiraled into playing live-action stuff) and they were playing it back to back for a couple days. Great film, definitely inspired by classic sci-fi.

It got Brad Bird to do The Incredibles, which I'm all for. And it's a hell of a movie on its own merits.

I remmber seeing it but nothing else. 
Edit: I see Vin Diesel was in it so im going to assume it was awesome.

I love the Iron Giant!  My favorite scene was when the hand was walking around the house as Hogarth was trying to say the dinner blessing.  I have that whole thing memorized!

My favorite animated movie next to The Nightmare Before Christmas. I don't think I've seen it in at least five years, though. Thanks for bringing it up, now I have something to watch this weekend.

Yes, THE IRON GIANT is easily one of the greatest animated features of all time.

No doubt. It made me laugh and cry (that sounds cliche but whatever). It's a really underrated film.

The Iron Giant is amazing. I've got a special edition of it lying around here somewhere (on VHS!) that I think came with a little figurine or something.

The Iron Giant is an amazing movie.  I think the thing I like the most is the art style of it that ties in to the nostalgic view of the 1950s the movie has going for it.  It's pretty unique, and I love that.

It's such a shame that this one can be considered "hidden"... It was so good, and I remember seeing it in theaters and being amazed by it.

The Iron Giant is one my all time favorite animated movies, and one of Brad Birds best. People are always entitled to their opinions, but people saying that they hate this movie don't know shit (contradiction, yeye).
