So according to all the billboards that keep popping up in my area  then end of days is 10 days away. Are you excited to see nothing happen? I know I am. Really these cults scare the hell out of me. They believe this stuff so passionately it's scary. What do you guys think this will end like? Do you believe in 2012. If you believe in this May 21st thing please enlighten me.

I can't wait until the whole '2012-Mayan-calendar-end-of-the-world' bullshit is finally done away with.

I don't think those people really believe that. Why would they go through the trouble to put up billboards if they did? Wouldn't they have better things to do?

And what if they're right? What's the upside? someone remembers their billboard just before they're vaporized? Cool...

Biblically speaking, it's not even possible to predict the rapture - I've always wondered why these sects even bother making up dates, seems like a waste of time to me...Though, to be honest this is nothing new. Individuals and groups have been claiming to know when the world is going to end for years. Obviously, I don't need to point out how accurate they've been so far.

As @skidd: said, it's kind of silly to follow these predictions.  As the good book says, "you will not know the day nor the hour", so such specific prophecies fly in the face of The Word. Also, such advertisements feel like the "Homer Simpson plan to salvation".  For both those that believe and those who don't, the only recourse is to live the best life we can today because tomorrow is unknowable.

well im damned if its true either of them. The 2012 thing has never made sense to me ya know since they were all whipped out and thus COULD NOT UPDATE THE CALENDAR

The may 21 thing is one of the things i haven't understood about fanatical sects of Christianity why do you want him to come back since ya know that means the end of the world
