This weeks other big event was the Council of Fashion of America Awards, it brings together the hottest designers of the moment along with their celebrity pals to present awards to the most prominent fashion designers of today.
Best Dressed
Zoe Saldana in Prabal Gurung
Zoe looked absolutely stunning, hands down. The sheer is very on-trend and the peek-a-boo cutouts just highlight her terrific figure. The nude make-up really compliments her natural skin-tone and the hair is just great, it doesn't distract from the beautiful gown.
Runner-Up
Lily Collins in Marchesa
Phil's beautiful daughter wore this very different, but complimentary dress by Marchesa. It's a little different, the pattern is very regal and immediately gives her elegance and class. I really like the bird embellishment too, it gives it that extra edge. Snow White's hair is also flawless, and really does show off her pretty face and those killer earrings.
Joint-Runner-Up
Julianne Hough in Kaufmanfranco
She was my worst dressed at the MTV Movie Awards and Seacrest's lover certainly redeemed herself in this extraordinary gown. The red compliments her skin perfectly and the up-do lets her show off the expensive ice on her ears, woah. She looks very glamourous and really turned heads on the carpet. So proud!
Worst Dressed
The actress really didn't make much of an effort at all. This unflattering dress looked very unkept and really didn't fit her whatsoever. The pale tones washed her out completely and those hideous hooker shoes don't help. The hair is nice, as well the earrings but even that couldn't save this sinking ship.
Runner-Up
Kate Bosworth in Altuzarra
The gorgeous actress looked her worst at this event. I strangely like the dress, it's summer appropriate, but that awful coin-sash at the waist ruins it completely. She tried to class it up with the hair and the faint lips which helped it look presentable at least. Even a few inches off would've made it look nice, it's length is a little awkward.
Summer Beauty Award
Sophia Bush in David Meister
Sophia didn't let us forget about One Tree Hill, as she stepped out in this fluorescent, summer gown that made her look like a million bucks! The hair is beautiful with the blonde tones and her make-up is so flattering. It really shows off her hourglass figure.
Battle of the Models
Doutzen Kroes in Sophie Theallet
The beautiful Doutzen vamped it up in this vampiric back number, I loved this dress. It fits her beautifully and really gives her a Queen of Darkness feel.
Selita Ebanks in Herve Leger by Max Azria
The Victoria's Angel played the part in this beautiful angelic gown that only emphasised her gorgeous body and beauty.
So ... Heaven or Hell ?
Other Looks
Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen in The Row
Congrats to them for winning the Womenswear Award, and here they are in their own label designs. Extra large clothes are in trend at the moment but I can't help but feel that it just drowns them, they're such petite girls. But the fabric looks so good!
Dakota Fanning in Proenza Schouler
Her sister may be upstaging her when it comes to Hollywood roles, but Dakota dazzles in this gorgeous Tokyo-inspired dress. I love Proenza Schouler, they make such fresh designs and it looks great on her. She looks so cute.
Heather Graham in Nicole Miller
Channeling a more 'ethereal' look was Heather, who looked truly beautiful. It's boring and plain, but she still looked great. I miss her.
Karolina Kurkova in Tommy Hilfiger
The statuesque supermodel has been killing it lately but I'm less than thrilled with this look. I do like the dress, but the large necklace, and the orange lips is just too much to bare.
Jessica Chastain in Prabal Gurung
The Oscar nominated actress looked pretty, but this dress just made her look like she's fulfilling a fantasy to be a fairy-princess when she was 10 years old. I'm not digging this look at all.
