A host of stars turned up the 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards, each of them looking fabulous. This is probably the best dressed ceremony I have ever seen, too many people looked drop-dead-gorgeous, it was probably the hardest decisions I've ever made on Cherry's Choice!

Best Dressed

Angelina Jolie in Atelier Versace

As soon as I saw this I immediately said "wow" - it's just breathtaking. It's very harsh but beautiful at the same time. It's perfectly fitted, the shoes are great, I love the small red detail that appears on the dress, lips and bag, it brings everything together nicely. Angelina look so beautiful, literally like a Goddess. Perfection.

#2 Best Dressed

For the first time ever I have a joint-second place!! It was just too hard to decide between these two fabulous ladies!

Charlize Theron in Dior, of course

The Oscar winning actress looked so girly and elegant in this gorgeous gown by Dior, Not many women can pull off a lump of material infront of them like the slender, stunning perfection that is Charlize. She wore it with such confidence, I love the hair, the shoes and even the headband. She looked like a perfect mix of sexiness, elegance and fairytale.

Emma Stone in Lanvin

The funny girl turned heads in this absolutely devilish gown. The plumb/red colour looked even better against her porcelain skin and red hair, it's a great colour for her! She added harsh eyeliner and smokey eyeshadow to give that extra, theatrical effect which ciompleteed the whole look! I strangely like the Wonder Woman-esque belt but not too keen on the shoulder detail. I adore those shoes though!

Worst Dressed

Madonna in Reem Acra

I love Madonna, but this is a hideous, hideous dress that should never be worn by anyone! It looks like the swamp thing is eating her from the waist down. I get she started the whole 'glove' trend, but it just doesn't go with a busy dress like that. I suppose the detail is pretty cool when you look up close, but it's still ugly. And those boobs can barely breath! Beautiful woman, but horrible outfit.

#2 Worst Dressed

Just like with best dressed, It was too hard to chose the runner ups to Worst Dress and so I picked two beautiful young girls who made unfortunate mistakes in joint 2nd.

Sarah Michelle Gellar in Monique Lhuillier and Bulgari Jewellery

I love SMG, she's bad-ass, and I strangely like the pattern of the dress but there is just too much material, it's drowning the poor, petite Sarah! She's only like, 5'3' and should not be wearing a dress this big, I love her jewellery and hair and make-up, but the rest is badly chosen .. and I hear the dress was chose by her daughter and it definitely shows.

Jessica Biel in Elie Saab

The wedding-dress styled gown just didn't appeal to me. It looked too old for her, she tried to sex it up with the bare-back (which you can't see on this image) but it just didn't work with the heavy, laced material she had on. It's just too bland and the cutout on the front makes it look even worse.

Other Looks:

I loved the hot-pink, it looked great on her, and the slicked back short hair added to her sexiness. She's a beautiful girl, the only thing I don't like was the extra material on the side of her hip; it just doesn't look flattering.

I loved this dress! it's so beautiful, I loved the golden bodice, it reminded me of Elisha Cuthbert from the People's Choice Awards. The hair is a beautiful colour, the only problem i have it that the hair is too big, it gives her a bobble-head sorta look.

I strangely like this dress, it gives a good 1950's style for what she was going for. The hair is cute, infact the whole dress gives her a good figure, I liked how she matched the green with the green back. Nice effort Zooey, but it just didn't "wow" me like most other dresses.

Kate looked flawless! I adore this mermaid gown. The jewellery, the hair, it all looked perfect side by side against this picturesque Cavalli dress.

Best Dressed Male

Uggie from The Artist

He looked like a little heartbreaker on the red carpet in this cute, well-fitted tuxedo. Definitely the best dressed male on this show! The hair is perfectly groomed, he smiled the whole night and didn't lose his cool once!

I bet some casting director now has pinned Emma Stone for a future villainess role because of that deliciously devilish dress.

That Charlize Theron dress looks boring compared to the stuff she wears in the J'Adore ads.

Oh I disagree with Jolie's dress. It looked awkward on her especially when she went up on stage to give out an award and it became horrifyingly noticeable how skinny her arms were. She can normally pull off some of the more odd fashion looks but I don't think this was one of them.

@VinceNotVance: Here ya go.

@CherryBomb: Excellent blog! I'm pretty much spot on with all of your choices and critiques.

Wow...Emma Stone looked fantastic but that dress made Jolie look really skinny and pale.

Man, I guess I just noticed that Jolie is frighteningly emaciated. Seriously, there's scarcely anything that I find more mundanely distasteful than an overly thin woman. Eww.

Great blog as always. As we head full steam into awards season I look forward to your insight.

I know everyone is going on about Emma Stone and she wears it well (plus great to see her as a redhead again), but Charlize Theron...homina homina.

The problem with SMG's dress is that it recalls for me, Tidy Bowl blue toilet cleaner. That's not attractive, at least for my particular tastes.

Thanks! :D

and I agree Charlize is one beautiful, beautiful woman! she looked great :D haha SMG does look like that! poor girl! @CrimsonAvenger said:

Emma looked smoking! & I loved the theatrical-esque aspect of Jolie's dress, she is a thin woman, but she's always been thin, she has a typical model body. The styling was very good and it was certainly different than what she usually goes for

True! Emma would be an awesome villainess, I have just fallen in love with the colour of her dress! it's beautiful.

Kate looks amazing, as usual! Also, I'm with you on Jolie's dress - looks great (though I wonder if it might look even better if the red splash was a little thinner).

I really didn't like Angelina's dress. Personally I thought Emma Stone's dress was much better.

Some other looks:

Tilda isn't a girly girl, so this is a good dress for women who love androgyny and it's a perfect mix of glamour, age-appropriateness and masculine attire. I liked it, it was very 'Tilda' , the hair was cute, added a little edge and the colour gave it sophistication. The fit wasn't great but I liked the style she was going for.

The 47 year old supermodel looked stunning in this gorgeous mermaid dress. She looked like a model indeed, with a body of a 20 year old and beachy-styled hair. I didn't like the patch-work thing going on on the bodice and the bracelets didn't really match. A smokey eye would have glammed up the outfit even more.

It'll remind people of Sara Pezzini for those comic fans out-there. And while it looked cool, the detail was great but it was just too much, Lea doesn't have the body to pull of a dramatic dress like this.

For those comic fans out there, it may remind you of Sara Pezzini. I liked the strong detail in this dress and the colour is very fashionable. But Lea doesn't have the body to pull off a dramatic dress such as this. She looked very sexy though.

New year, new award season, new blog from Cherry! Need to say I agree with all the above, agree with you on Lea Michelles dress, was getting a witchblade vibe. The others I liked were Reese Witherspoon in her red dress but cannot find a decent picture of it, and I thought Jenna Dewan looked pretty good.

God, Reese looked so gorgeous! She looked like a blonde bombshell.

@CherryBomb: Glad you put that pic of Reese up. I've always been a huge fan of her, she's stunning.

I never really do care about these but I look at them anyway.

Emma Stone still looks hot, but Zooey Deschanel looks like a zombie with all that make up.

Great blog as always, hon. XD

To tell you the truth, I liked Resse's dress more than Angelina's but they both happen to be the best ones I've seen. My #1 worst was Sara Michelle Gellar's dress because it really doesn't suit her, especially the shade of blue that it had.

Thanks for reading! (:

Reese looked gorgeous, I would've liked the dress more if it was pulled up a little higher; it looked like her 'girls' were gonna fall out. It was just a little plain compared to some other more fabulous dresses, but it was still smoking hot. I think the pattern was a nice style to go for with SMG's dress, but the pattern was too much with how big the dress was, the pattern on a mini-dress or a more sleeker gown might have looked awesome.
