The MTV Movie Awards had some pretty boring fashion choices, but I compiled a list of my favourites and my not-so-favourites:

Best Dressed

Elizabeth Banks in Ellie Saab

Tron .. anyone?
Tron .. anyone?

Elizabeth looked like a winner in this figure-hugging menswear-inspired look by Ellie Saab. She's known for taking risks on the red carpet and this one definitely paid off. I forgive you for your horrendous look at the Met Gala Liz! The fierce look was kept together with the beautiful clutch bag and severe hair-do that shows off that pretty face of hers. Well done!

Runner Up

Kat Graham in Maria Lucia Hohan

Another fierce look came from Mystic Falls' resident witch, Kat Graham. The 'Put Your Graffiti On Me' singer turned up the sex appeal in this plunging dress. She certainly channelled Rihanna with this look and it worked. The slicked back hair showed off those fabulous earrings and worked for the Hollywood glamour look she was going for.

Worst Dressed

Julianne Hough in Sally LaPointe

The beautiful dancer looked pretty indeed, but the dress with its unusual and unflattering cutout just looked plain weird. She has abs to die for but still, it's no excuse for a strange dress like this. The material is also too thick for her and adds a lot of extra-weight. If the hair was in a pony-tail or something, it would make this look a lot better.

Runner Up

Emma Watson in Brood

While I'm glad she's growing out her beautiful blonde hair, I just wish she wore something else. The shoes are amazing, which is why she isn't worse dressed. But this acid-wash pattern is just plain ugly. There's way too much going on in this dress with its mix-matched patterns, it has zips, flaps, layers .. it just doesn't work.

Other Looks

Emma Stone in Martin Grant

The Spider-Man star kept it simple in this skirt and top combination that made her look picture-perfect. The hair is beautifully styled and the minimal make-up with the hint of pink lips really highlights her features.

I'm not a fan of the shoes, but everything else is so pretty.

Mila Kunis in Fendi

She's been getting a lot of speculation about her weight-gain recently, but I think she looks great. The dress isn't my favourite, but I do strangely like it on her. Granted it's short, even with the sheer covering, but she looks beautiful.

Kristen Stewart in Guishem

It's no secret that Kirsten has some of the best legs in Hollywood and she loves showing them off .. and rightly so!

This dress however, is not the best. The metallic material just looks cheap, the patterns seem very amateur, although I love the Louboutin shoes.

Charlize Theron in Lanvin

Let's face it, it's impossible for Charlize to look bad. The dress is far too plain for me, I've seen this silhouette worn way too much this season but the red is a brilliant colour on her.

Shailene Woodley in Stella McCartney

She won Best Breakthrough Performance and definitely deserved it.

I really liked this androgynous, yet sexy look on her. Since she broke-out from The Descendants, Shailene hasn't been looking too good on the red-carpet, but this is a sign for a change! She's be on my best dressed list if the pants were tailored and the hair was up.

Kate Beckinsale in Christian Dior

The stunning English rose looked very classy in this pale pink mini-dress. She showed sophistication and sex appeal without revealing too much.

Aw, I really like that dress that Emma Watson is wearing. Kate Beckinsale looks gorgeous as always too.

Emma Watson's dress doesn't look that bad. If was it was bad, I would say that Emma pulled it off (get your mind out of the gutter!) quite nicely. Julianne Hough, on the other hand, I have no idea what she was thinking. I always wonder. When these people put on their outfits, what are they thinking when looking in the mirror.

Mila Kunis' dress looks like a volcano erupting with fire works exploding at the same time. Shailene Woodley's outfit looks really nice I would say that with the exception of Elizabeth Banks, this was the best outfit. Also I am glad she at least one award (Breakthrough Performance). I really don't get what the breakthrough award is all about.

I don't think Emma looks as bad as I see some of the press was for her dress.

And Banks' outfit isn't spectacular but she pulls it off really well.

Yeah I think if anyone else wore Emma's dress it'd look horrible. But she has a great body for it, very petite women can pull of crazy prints. Shailene looked so good! I just didn't like the messy braided hair, If it was more neater like the presentation of the outfit I would've loved it so much! She was really good in The Descendants, but she's been around for a while for Secret Life, so yeah, I don't know either!

Nowhere near ugly. Does tend to look a bit...miserable? from time to time though. Although hey, who doesn't!?

Nope I'm sorry! BUT she was at the 5th Annual Vueve Polo Classic in Jersey .. wearing some very short leather pants! ;) enjoy!

@CherryBomb: Enjoy? When short and leather are used in the same sentence, that goes without saying!

Kate wins it for me! I think you summed it up perfectly - a really classy look. Very impressive stuff.

haha! so true. How silly of me! I'll just let the image speak for itself.

Thanks! :D I love how the 38 year old Kate Beckinsale can strut down the red-carpet, mostly covered up and still look 10 x sexier than most of the younger stars who wear even less. <3

@CherryBomb: Spot on - Kate proves that you don't have to go cutting out indiscreet holes all over your dress to attract attention. She doesn't look close to 40 at all!

I think I like what Shailene Woodley wore the best. Kristen Stewart actually looks quite good too. I seem to be one of few guys who actually finds her attractive.

She'd definitely win MILF of the Year for me!

I so agree, Kirsten needs to get more praise for her looks, she's so beautiful and I generally do like her style very well.

Victoria Justice looked hot too, why you always leave her out? :(

@OrigamiAngel: Unfortunately, I can't fit every body on these blog posts! :( it's why I encourage people to post more thoughts and pics :D I do love Victoria, she looked stunning (: Maybe a little too casual for me, personally, but the styling was flawless.
