Hey Screened Pups! I'm currently in the process of putting together my University Dissertation and I need your help! It's quite simple really, I need some primary data about media habits so I'd be really grateful if you could complete my questionnaire. It's about Television viewing habits and use of second screen devices like smartphones, tablets, laptops and so on so it should be right up your alleys!
For the curious, my Dissertation is called "Can Late Night Talk Television Survive in the Multi-Screen Era?" and it's all about looking into the impact the rise of second screen devices, video on demand and so on has had on the financial viability of talk shows like The Tonight Show, The Late Show &, my favourite - from TBS (veryfunny), 'Conan'.
It's not just that doom and gloom "the iPad killed the TV!" angle though. I'm also looking at the ways second screen devices are allowing TV shows to actually improve themselves and their financial viability, through things like second screen Apps, promotions and so on.
