Is it just me, or does Lady Gaga make really terrible music?

She has a wacky (public) personality, but I don't hold that against her. She hasn't done anything offensive and seems friendly. What's to hold against her, really? Plus I think some of her songs are quite catchy...

I like her music but I hate her desperate attempts at trying to be "wacky".

I actually really like most of her music, it's pretty catchy. Also, I really enjoy seeing her insane costumes.

Lady Gaga is KISS.  It won't be until years later people will realize she was mediocre at best with an awesome gimmick.  Some people will still believe Lady Gaga was and will always be awesome.  Those people will take that knowledge to their official Lady Gaga casket that doubles as a cooler.

I love her music.  It's so catchy.  Sure the lyrics for the most part are terrible but if you hear some of her lesser known work she knows how to write a good song.  She just knows how to play to the mainstream media and its what made her so remarkably famous so fast.  Oh, and I normally listen to underground metal so did something right to strike a chord with me I say.

Meh I don't really like her music. Shes a little crazy but I don't have a problem with her.

I'm sure I would like her better if it didn't look like she glued on bits of paper on her before her every show.

She's released some catchy music, but I'm not a huge fan of her style. I don't really follow her stuff that closely, so I'm not sure if it's an attempt to attract publicity or whether that's just her thing, but either way, for me, it doesn't really work all that well. Just seems like she's trying too hard

SHe's released some catchy pop songs but her latest album has nothing to offer for me. Katy Perry and Kesha have kept me entertained.

Really liked her introduction to the musical scene, but The Fame Album was terrible because she stopped concerning herself with the music and more with the image. Her new album, however, is fantastic, and despite me not liking her gimmicks, I'm fine with them existing provided they don't interfere with her music again.

I don't really like pop music or most of the crap the MTV plays (between reality shows) but I actually like her songs. Anyway the mere fact the she write her music and directs her videos puts her way above most of the pop artists.

@pat4327: Zojirushi should actually have a wacky Japanese ad with her in such a costume, they'd sell even more than they already do. It would be amazing.

@_chapel_: I don't think she's "so cool", but she makes pretty entertaining music IMO. IT's pop fluff, but it's normally well-crafted & produced pop fluff. Also, "Bad Romance" is legitimately one of my favorite songs of all time. It kicks all kinds of ass, even if a lot of her other stuff can never hit that level.

Lady Gaga the musician is okay. She plays run of the mill pop but not the kind of run of the mill pop that I like. The reason she has gotten so big is we have hit a slump in mainstream music the once popular scenes of the 00's are dying off and being cut back down to their niches but there isn't really the next big waves of music hitting the mass market. Gaga will be pushed back unless she adapts when it happens. I don't think she has the adaptability of Madonna, Michael Jackson or even Judas Priest.
