Just heard the news that REM have finished after 30 years making music. This has really bummed me out as they were in heavy rotation in my younger days and this makes me feel old. I still love Loosing My Religion though and they have many great songs for me to listen to in tribute.

Love their music a whole bunch. They lost me when the new millennium started though.

Their new albums have been less than stellar. Glad they're calling it quits, even if they aren't at the top of their game.

Didn't really like their new albums but it's always say to see a good band go away, even so most bands don't last for 30 years.

Kind of sad to see a band that has lasted 30 years call it quits but I guess you can't do it forever ( unless your Bob Dylan who won't quit).
