AV Club posted this today. Basically, Topher Grace edited all 3 Star Wars prequels into 1 film, and did it well. Apparently. Which honestly sounds awesome, and is totally something I could imagine doing myself just for fun ( I get a kick out of editing stuff, don't ask why).
The funny thing about this is, AMC was airing this Godfather supercut a few days ago, where they play the entire series in chronological order. Meaning, all the Robert de Niro segments from Godfather Part II, then The Original movie, then the Michael stuff from II, then III. I assume, unless there's flashbacks in III, I never saw it. Which sounds kind of dumb, honestly, although that would mean you could just stop stop halfway through when the original ends, thus only seeing the good parts of the series. Still, it sounds more gimmicky than anything else.
These are the only 2 instances of supercuts I can think of; sure, people will show all 3 LOTR movies in a row, but that's different. You guys heard of any others? What do you think of the Star Wars thing? I really wish he puts it up for download or something, I'd totally be down to see how cutting the crap out of the prequels works out.
EDIT: I just read the original blog post AVClub got the story from; turns out there are no plans to show it to anybody. NEW PLAN: Everyone make their own edits, we share them and compare. Go!
