I wanted to make video games then I realised the process is horrible and lost interest.

I grew up in Wyoming.  A cowboy was so mundane that it was the last thing I wanted to be.

@Mistress_Redhead:   Among other things, yeah.  There was also a period where I wanted to be a costumed superhero, a movie director, and a writer.
 
At least one of those three is still achievable.

For ages all I can remember is wanting to be an actor, then I turned ten and wanted to become a director and It's a goal I've been striving toward since

Now I'm grown up, stupid things like that appeal to me far more. While watching Justified, I realised I wanted to visit the southern states of America just so I could walk around with a Stetson and not be harassed for it.

me! I wanted to be a Power Ranger, til I learnt they were really lame. ;)

For a while I really wanted to be Indiana Jones except married to Cat Woman. Then I decided I wanted to be a musician.

I progressively got less realistic. Originally, when I was 12, and largely due to the film 'Boiler Room',  I thought I wanted to be a stock-broker.... then a train conductor... now... I'm a musician and a writer. hurrah!
