Pretty simple, what did you decide will be your New Year's resolution for 2013.

Doesn't have to be movie or TV related.

I'm planning on being healthier by eating right and exercising more and I want to read more books than I have been.

I've got a feeling that for the average person, losing weight/getting fit is the norm

I know it's mine...

The Movie/TV related one is to actually get the pilot script for a show I have going around in my head written, be it screenplay or for comic

Normal people stuff actually lose weight finally do the 90X routine all the way through..got 6 days in and was killed by the yoga o the horrors.

I have two resolutions.

1. Train myself to be more professional at my job at the Tinseltown theater here in Medford, Oregon. I get too distracted, asking people how they liked their movies, and I sometimes unintentionally ignore the customers at the Podium because of that.

2. To exercise more often on my bicycle. My goal weight is to be at 170 pounds. It's currently at 182 pounds.

I want to write more, specifically on movies/tv. I started out last year really strong and then dropped the ball. I have some different topics I want to cover too, so we'll see how that goes.

I've got a good 30 lbs to lose too, so I should try to get on that. I gained a lot of weight since I got married almost a year and a half ago. I lost weight for the wedding and just piled it back on and then some. I hate gyms though, so we'll see how that goes. I just get really bored with running on a treadmill or stuff like that. It doesn't peak my interest for long. I know my wife wants me to eat healthier too.

GET FIT GET SMART GET HAPPY.

Same six words every year, we'll see how this one goes.

They're a tad nonspecific though.

Well I suppose Exorcists need to keep fit too, right?

My New Year's Resolutions:

  • Watch more movies
  • Finish more video games (instead of just buying them, curse you Steam sales!)
  • Read more books ("Abhorsen" has been collecting dust on my shelf for a while now)
  • Post more increasingly dumb community activities on Anime Vice
  • Exercise more often (boy, this wagon's pretty crowded, huh?)
  • Add soy sauce to food more often

That should cover it.

After spending many months just reading articles and comments on Screened....I resolve to contribute and comment on articles on Screened.

(and I probably need to eat more vegetables)

I'm with you on number one. I think my goal is to watch more movies as they come out. I get distracted by television series and then end up catching up on lots of movies at the end of the year, but I would like to stay more current.

You are doing an amazing job, thank you!

@scelerat: Welcome to the community! If you would like please feel free to Introduce Yourself. Oh, and I have a delicious recipe for Brussel Sprouts if you would like. No joke.

I've never really been one to have a resolution but I guess it's never too late to start. I've started biking a lot last year and I'll definitely continue to do that. The one thing I'd love to change is to be more talkative and social. I'm way shy and it's really been depressing me when I go out with friends lately.

@TopSteer: Most of my resolutions are something I started the year before as well. I just got a tablet and so reading more is a much more viable option. And getting healthy really just means eating healthier and keeping up with my work outs. I've never been one to see something in my life that needs to change and then put it off until the first of the next year.

Mine are to also read more and see more movies, I always have great intentions about seeing more but get lazy, I manage to read a good bit though. Also like everyone exercise more and eat less!! Am currently reading Wolf Hall, anyone else read it yet?? I love books and movies.
