This is a question for Alex.
With all of these techno bands doing film soundtracks, I want to know, what metal band would you like to see do a soundtrack? I personally think that if Steel Panther did a Neveldine and Taylor movie it would be the most baller thing ever.
Alex - See that is great. Neveldine and Taylor are the cinematic equivalent of a hair-metal band
Alex - Most metal stuff you need to get something that is more instramental, not just grunting
Rorie - ROAR ROAR ROAR ROAR ROAR ROAR ROAR
Alex - Maybe someone like mastodon

Hey Guys,
Do you think it is too premature for movie companies to talk about, or in some cases begin to plan sequels before the first film is even out? That Amazing Spider-Man sequel business made headlines a little while ago, but they have already begun to talk about a Real Steel 2 more than a week (at the time I am writing this) before the first one is out.
Rorie - Its never to early
Rorie - If i can talk about games for a minute. When we were making Alpha protocol there was talk about a squeal before AP1 had even come out. With games and im assuming its the same with movies, If you don't start planning before the squeal has come out the only people working on the first game by the end are people fixing bugs. Before you know it the team has fragmented and left to go onto other projects.

What's your favorite movie marketing tie-in? While Hop was a terrible movie putting that rabbit on bags of carrots was somewhat clever.
Rorie - I still love my ROTJ Burger king light saber
Alex - I was way into, for some reason, the dick tracy merch.

Most films nowadays seem to be colour corrected to a very orangey and bluey tinge. Do you think that this will make current movies look very dated to future eyes, just like technicolor films look to us?
Rorie - That is very correct.
Alex - Isn't it because those are the colours that eyes are drawn too?

I'm currently re-watching Alias and working on the Screened page at the same time. Your discussion about the final season of TV series got me wondering what Rorie thought of the Alias final season. I feel the show went steadily downhill until they got canceled and were finally able to wrap things up. As a result I thought the last season was pretty great. Thoughts?
Rorie - I didn't get to the final series.

Hey guys, I'm thinking of changing my username because I think the numbers at the end of it are really dumb. I've narrowed it down to two choices: "PatVanBrunt" or "PatVB"
I like "PatVB" because it's shorter and (I think) easier to remember, but that name is taken on Twitter. Do you think it's better to have different names on different sites or to keep the same, less desirable name everywhere?
Rorie - Depends on the sites really
Rorie - But im sure you will be logging in with facebook everywhere soon
Alex - I don't care about usernames.

Sometimes it seems like a movie gets made without really knowing where the script is going and it appears to have a lot of pointless material thrown in to meet a 90 minute run time. Is there any movie that if given full editing power over you think you could improve and what movies would they be and what would you want to change?
I currently edited my own version of Max Payne and cut 40 minutes from the movie and gave it a new intro and manages to pace the movie better. I also worked with AVP Requiem and Spider-Man 3.
Rorie - Max Payne is a weird weird film. Weird but not very good. I like the drugged out sequences.
Rorie - for me - The transformers movies.
Alex - Dream House with an edit that wasn't made by the studio.
