How are spoilers handled on the Screencast?

Thinking about adding the Screencast to my iTunes subscriptions (as a long-time fan from back in the Gamespot days), but I usually don't get around to watching current TV shows or current movies for a little while after they come out.  Are they pretty careful about spoilers or pretty blase?  I'm fairly spoiler-averse, and prefer to know as little as possible about the plot of a movie/show when going into it.

Thanks!

They're usually pretty open with spoilers. A warning is usually given though, and sometimes a timestamp for when the spoiler talk is over is given in the description (if it's a long discussion).

Indeed. Spoilers are more openly discussed the further back you go in the Screencast. The gang has gotten better at giving a legitimate warning before the true discussion picks up lately. Thankfully they've even started putting the times down on the stream page where the discussion starts and ends (ie Inception).

For the most part however the best courses of action would be to just jump through a few minutes of dialog that'd discussing a movie you haven't seen yet...or you can just hum very loudly to yourself whenever they bring up the topic of "spoiler." It worked very nicely for me when I was listening in bed and the Toy Story 3 discussion came up and I was too tired/lazy to get up and jump ahead manually.

It's pretty hard to legitimately discuss the merits of a film without diverging it's plot in detail but they definitely have gotten better about the way they handle it now as opposed to the first handful of podcasts where they seemed to just say "Fuck it, if you're gonna see it don't listen to this" & go off on a tangent.

Yeah, we're trying to be better about it. So hopefully from now on it won't be a big problem.

Thanks for the responses!  I was just about to download this week's podcast, but I see in the description "spend an abnormal amount of time talking about Season 3 of The Wire" and since I haven't watched The Wire yet and definitely want to (I've just started to TiVo it off of DirecTV's 101 channel, which started airing Season 1 a couple weeks ago), I think I will wait until next week.  I definitely intend to try it though!

Thanks again, all

 Seriously Alex, Come on!

You talk spoilers for Season 3 of The Wire and say who gives a shit because the show ended years ago. You are watching the show after it ended so you are one of us watching the show posthumously. You are seriously dismissing everyone who has not watched the show up to where YOU are at.  Seriously, how narrow can you be. Not every god damn discussion needs to have spoilers said before it.
