Got the chance to buy way too much popcorn from the grocery store which got me to thinking.

What is your favorite non-movie theater snack to have while watching a movie?

Edit: Thanks for the DVD and Rorie stickers :D

How many movies and/ or tv shows do you watch each week for reviews or articles? And how many do you watch just for your own enjoyment?

I know this could vary depending on the week but a rough estimation(in hours or movies/shows) would be great.

New remakes and unnecessary sequels are announced everyday, or at least it seems like it. This leads to the simple question, what movie remakes would you hope to never see? For me, I had the random thought of The Three Amigos. Just thinking of recasting that makes me disgusted with the current state of comedies and which "big" comedic actors would be thrown in it.

If you could compare the careers of Robert Downey Jr and Johnny Depp who is currently a better actor? Also would Depp ever do blackface?

Hey guys Great Big Live Live Show This Time it's Live, it was good to see Alex again.

So my questions is about the site, would you consider not attaching Trailers to the forums as I feel everytime I look at the forums on the mainpage at least 80% is trailers and it detracts me and probably others from finding cool blog/forum posts. Thanks Guys.

What do you think of the Horror genre in comparison between now and the 90's and 80's decades?

When Roger Corman won an Honorary Oscar for his contributions to cinema last year a lot people made a big stink and there others who defended him as one of the most important educators (ie the The Corman School of Film) in modern American film. So Screened what say you? Is Corman the king of schlock and honoring his film career is a complete travesty? Or is the fact that he mentored so many big time respected Hollywood directors and actors such as James Cameron, Martin Scorsese, Jack Nicholson, and Robert De Niro that he deserves some sort of recognition by the Academy?

I don't think there is any movie sacred enough to never be remade, but Godfather is the first movie that came to my mind while reading this question. And there are some movies whose premise is interesting enough that they legitimately deserved to be remade in order to expose the concept of original to a new generation of audience. Just a few weeks ago I watched Stalker, the 1979 science fiction movie by Tarkovsky, and although I found the movie interesting I did not find it entertaining. I am completely open to Stalker being remade for today's audience, perhaps headed by someone like Nolan North.

I just recently watched Hanna and liked it quite a bit, and I noticed that Rorie did too. I was just wondering if you think it has any chance to get an Oscar. If I had nominate a specific catagorie, I would either pick Best Director or Best Soundtrack. What are your thoughts? Thanks and always be Screening! Secondary question: What is your favorite soundtrack in the past 5 years? 10 years?

Was wondering if you had a favorite movie speech/monologue. A really good one that comes to mind is the Superman bit from the end of Kill Bill Vol.2.

Hey guys, I recently just had my first viewing of Vantage Point, For the most part I found it was and okay movie. It had a cool concept, but I thought it didn't work well for a movie. In my opinion I thought it could have worked as a TV miniseries where each episode showed a different vantage point instead of squishing it all together into a 90 minute film. Which brings me to my question, has there ever been a movie where you thought it could have worked better if it were made into a TV series/miniseries instead of a feature film? Or even a movie/movie franchise that could have continued into a TV series?

Sincerely,

I was thinking about Arnold Schwarzenegger the other day, specifically whether or not he's actually a good actor. I love Predator, Commando, Total Recall, etc. but I'm not sure if Arnold's acting ability is one of the reasons I enjoy those movies. He's charismatic to be sure, but is he a good actor?

Keep on Screenin'

Hey guys, a friend and I were having an argument the other day about Al Pacino vs. Robert DeNiro and who's career will be looked at better when both actors retire. I argued that in their prime, DeNiro was the better actor but that Pacino's career will be viewed more favorably due to him being in better films than DeNiro is over the last decade and a half. I was wondering where the both of you stand on this issue?

Obvious Q really - any good films dealing with/touching on 9/11 themes?

Alt Q - summarise the plot of The Third Society.

Would you rather Bond movies go back to their regular cheesy selves (outlandish gadgets, terrible one liners...) or stick to the realistic, gritty vibe they've been riding since Casino Royale?

The best film by far considering 9/11 is the film accidently made film titled "9/11" by the Naudet Brothers, who were originally intending to make a documentary about newly appointed firefighters in Ladder 1 until the day the disaster happened. This film skips the politics and shows the real story of 9/11 and the inhuman bravery displayed by all those fireman and so many others. Those hollywood'ified 9/11 flicks don't hold a candle to this piece of captured history.

After watching last night's Breaking Bad, I'm starting to get really annoyed by the heavy handed product placement for Rage. There's one scene in particular where someone gets thrown into a shelf and the camera lingers briefly on a shot of the game's box as it conveniently falls into view. It seemed gratuitous me and I was wondering how Matt and Alex feel about product placement and if they can think of particular instances where it's annoyed them in the past.

I'm almost positive that Jesse was playing Rage in a previous episode this season. I think it was 3 episodes ago? He was in his house, playing a violent FPS that reminded him of shooting Gale and eagerly going back for more, which gave some insight into where his head was.

What's up with Breaking Bad and Rage?

@CharAznable:

"What's up with Breaking Bad and Rage?"

I know! It's been winding me up for a while. I know it's a super-nerdy thing to get hung up on but the game hasn't even been released yet! It's not even a lightgun game as far as I'm aware but that's how Jessie was playing it! Madness, madness I tells ya!

EXCLAMATION MARKS!!!

Morgan Freeman, Kris Kristofferson, Harry Connick Jr. and the first cyborg dolphin on film since Johnny Mnemonic and the movie, of course, looks TERRIBLE! What movies can you think of that had amazing casts but absolutely fell apart on execution?
