Hey,

It's been a month or so since we did a Ramblin' Rorie, so let's get some questions in for next week's installment! Maybe it'll be a Thanksgiving treat for you guys. Don't forget that this is for Whiskey Members only!

You're a Thanksgiving gift.

I just want to know how Skyrim is going for you. What kind of character are you playing? What are your general thoughts on the game? Like it better than Oblivion and Morrowind?

Re-posting this from an email I sent Screened per your instruction:

Greetings Screened!

This question is directed more toward Rorie because of his Ramblin' Rorie videos, but Alex should feel free to answer as well. As a wannabe/budding film critic I'm fascinated by the process professionals go through in composing their critiques and wonder if you might share your personal process, either in a premium video or just taking us through it on Ramblin' Rorie or Behind the Screened Door. If you've already explained it, could you direct me to the video/podcast episode?

Thanks and keep up the good work!

Hey Rorie, with the release of the latest TNG blu-ray trailer I was absolutely amazed with the amount of fidelity they managed to take from some of the big FX scenes, like those crazy jellyfish aliens taking off etc. But at the same time, some of the shots of more mundane things, like Worf giving a speech on the Klingon Homeworld or Picard just sitting in his quarters exposed some really ugly flaws. The uniforms look really god damn cheap and beaten up, you can see the glue splattered over Michael Dorn's face and the bridge quite frankly has cheap wooden accents that look beaten to all hell. I know we all want to see TNG looking it's best, but does that necessarily mean an HD conversion?

In an earlier RR, you mentioned that you didn't like Magnolia. You started to explain why, but didn't really say much. Something about Aimee Mann's involvement? Can you explain further? I'm interested.
Thanks Brah.

What is your alcoholic beverage of choice? Since eggnog is on shelves again I like mixing it with whiskey. Thanks and keep on being awesome!

What is the most difficult part of being "the face" of a website? It seems the sheer amount of work you must perform each day for the site to remain refresh would be overwhelming, especially since Whiskey Media places such a premium on video content. Aside from the work, is it the continual pull to connect and build the site's community, the thinking it takes to create fresh ideas (things other movie/television related sites are not already doing), or maybe the "company" meetings I'm sure you are required to attend? Thanks and keep up the great work. I enjoy the site and especially like the premium Ramblin' Rories.

Could you speak about your reviewing 'method'? Do you take notes, go straight to writing or let it sink in, etc etc.

Are there any singular moments you can remember that helped foster your interests in film and television?

It appears that Arnold Schwarzenegger is jumping back into acting after a relatively long hiatus. How successful do you think he will be considering he can no longer rely on his physical gifts and will have to actually act?

Let's talk music videos. Any standout favorites? And do you think there is a place for a music video related material on Screened. I for one really enjoyed Tom's "An Eye for Music" series.

I might be jumping the gun a little bit here, but after this season is over, how long do you think we would have to wait for a second season of Box Office Winner's League? It's a feature I really like and it doesn't seem like it requires too much editing work. If there is a second season, are there any changes you would like to make? Would there be more people interested in competing?

What's has been the biggest surprise that has come from scanning through the Screened wiki?

And what next step can the wiki take to make it better?

What is the most disturbing movie you have ever seen? I just watched A Serbian Film, and holy shit that movie's fucked up in every way imaginable.

Hey Matt! Love the site to death!

How do you feel about where Screened is right now as a website, and what is the top priority for you guys to move the site forward?

As a quick aside I also love the new book club feature, any chance of making Remains of the Day one of the books to read? I know you've mentioned how much you love the film but haven't read the book, which is NUTSO because the book is far more powerful than the film.

Hey Rorie,

Your love of books has been well documented over the past few videos and I was wondering if you have any fiction books, like fantasy or sci-fi, that you're into or if you tend to stay away from that stuff. Keep up the awesome work!

Whats your thoughts on Tim Burton and his movies? I really like nearly all of his movies a great deal, but Ed Wood and Edward scissorhands holds a special place in my movie heart. On the more silly side, you have too love Mars Attacks also

Who is your favourite cartoon dog in tv or film?

Have you ever seen Repo: The Genetic Opera? - if so do you find it awesomely terrible, or terribly awesome?

Can you please do a top 10 list for GiantBomb this year?

With the announcement of Arrested Development on Netflix, and quality shows like Community being kicked out of the lineup, is the next couple of years finally going to be the time where Television is completely overhauled by internet exclusives?

How long do you thing it will take for remakes of Star Wars to happen? Not reboots but remake of a classic movie.

That is the best I can do right now...
