Screencast

No podcast this week. We were going to record earlier this morning, but then the Giant Bomb podcast had to be shifted back to this morning, and unfortunately it was a pretty long one, to the point where we couldn't fit in the podcast before Alex had to leave for a screening. Juggling my schedule with Alex's schedule and the GB podcast schedule is pretty hectic sometimes; it's frustrating to miss two in a row, so I apologize for that. Obviously the GB podcast has many times our listeners, though, so it's understandable that I try to ensure that we don't step on their toes when it comes to scheduling. I won't be in the office for the rest of the week, so we'll do our best to get something done next Monday. In the meantime, I'll be doing a Ramblin' Rorie sometime later this week, so if you have any questions for it, please throw them in this thread! I'll try to talk about the last couple of weeks of movies as well before I do the questions, so hopefully it'll be a small consolation.

Sorry I wasn't around to answer questions in yesterday's thread. If you have any questions related to why the podcast sometimes gets shuffled around, feel free to ask them here. I could go in and record a podcast by myself, but that's an exhausting undertaking, so I'd prefer to just wait for next week.

My feelings:

I'd be for a solo Rorie cast! No reason Screened can't get a cast just because Alex is out....

Just sayin'.

I've been missing listening to behind the screened door on Tuesday. I can't wait for it to return :)

Of course I'm not being serious, although it would be an amazing podcast.

I could not agree with this more. If you can't get a Screened-cast together then why not sit in on the GB-cast for an hour or so and talk movies with them for a few minutes? They go off-topic and talk about movies pretty regularly as it is, I seriously doubt they'd get too many complaints.

Oh and Matt, just out of interest, is there some reason why you guys couldn't move the podcast to a Tuesday or Wednesday so as to not clash with the GB schedule? I've seen this suggested a few times and thought it was a pretty good idea.

@Rorie: I'm wondering why your stuck having to lock yourself into that podcasting room anyways, couldn't you set up at your apartment and Skype in Alex? The sound quality on the Ramblin' Rorie's are good enough for me! I don't need no stinking fancy podcast

Pretty disappointing to miss 2 in a row, there's been some news and happening which I'd hoped to hear Screened comment on. Any thoughts of hooking up the Whiskey Hotline and doing a call-in show?

Be sure to talk about all the movies of the last 2 weeks and next week when you reconvene. Otherwise I won't know what to think of them!

They get pretty busy with their podcast room and I don't particularly like to double up on them. Plus that room gets pretty stank enough with four guys sitting around in there; adding one more would be even worse. I'd like to keep our thing separate. Always like to have guests, but hate being a guest, kind of thing.
