Will be doing full reports by network next week, but NBC officially cancelled Awake. How sad. They certainly aren't giving us much confidence that we should invest in serialized shows!

That's a bummer. I really wanted to start watching that show but never got around to it. A shame that NBC doesn't give it a chance to thrive past even one season.

It's a bummer but not surprising. If it were on cabel maybe it could of stood a chance. The pilot though still works really well as a stand alone piece of TV/Film.

I guess it couldn't keep its viewers... awake.

@MrMazz: I really liked the pilot as well but I absolutely hated how at the end they made it seem like there was gonna be some underlying conspiracy, it was so bad that I didn't even bother to watch the second episode. They ruined such a great concept of having the two universes intertwining by adding in the unnecessary conspiracy

Son of a bitch. It was a really unique and interesting show with some great performances. I suppose my hulu views didn't even register in NBC's eyes.

@TheFaithfullyDeparted: You're writing it off pretty quickly there. I didn't really like the conspiracy angle either, but after that episode they don't bring it up again and the focus returns to the characters and how they deal with their emotional baggage, plus some cool mystery elements where clues from one case bleed into the other world. You should give it a chance.

That's a bummer. I don't know how much longer the concept could've stood up, but it was a great, great show. Here's hoping the season finale gives some closure.

@ashogo: Yeah I actually really enjoyed the pilot but just wasn't in the mood for an overarching conspiracy theory going on with the show and felt that it could have ruined a great concept so i didn't stick with it. Same thing with Life on Mars (another show I really liked) if you have a great concept you don't always need to explain why its happening just let it go

Well, that's terrible. It was interesting while it lasted.

Seems like Kyle Killen can't have his shows stay on the air for longer than 13 episodes. Shame, he seems talented.

This show was very disappointing to me. The premise had me hyped for months, and the pilot delivered, but the "crime of the week" format really bored me.
