Difference in Picture Quality between Hulu and Netflix?

Has anyone else noticed a difference in picture quality for Standard Def TV series between Hulu and Netflix? I ask because when I was watching the first episode of Miami Vice on Hulu to edit the entry for it, I noticed the picture quality was far superior on Hulu than it was for Netflix (which I was checking out as I wanted to take a few screen grabs for the wiki entry). This was particularly notable in sequences with a lot of motion (like the In The Air Tonight sequence).

Has anyone else noticed this?

Netflix can kind of be tricky. There really isn't a standard "picture quality" so much as there are tiers of them depending on your connection.

@Deathawk:  Well, I believe Hulu will adjust based on your connection, as well. I don't think Hulu has ever published their full bitrate charts (Netflix has mentioned them on their blog before). So it's possible that Hulu's upper end is better than Netflix's.
