Do you watch TV shows that are legally streamed? If so, how often?

I was wondering if any of you also watch any TV shows when it's being legally streamed over the internet and how often you do it. For me, I watch them quite often, but only when the show happens to be available anywhere like CrunchyRoll and Hulu. I still watch TV these days, though.

It depends, sometimes I do but mainly I watch a handful of shows via DVR.

If it's available on Hulu, I watch it that way. Awake and Community are the obvious examples of that. I don't actually have cable, so for shows that aren't streamed via an official website I watch them via more ambiguous means, and buy season DVD sets if they ever become available.

For me it's current stuff via Hulu and old TV on Netflix. I watched the season premiere of Mad Men on TV ('cause my GF had to see it asap) and it felt pretty weird.

It's worth noting that the first round of TV ratings include the first 24 hours of DVR watching, but not any kind of streaming views. I think that's a huge factor as to why shows that appeal to older demos (who are less likely to watch things online) like NCIS constantly top the lists. But that's a topic for another post. ;)

I go through phases where I'll watch a lot of streaming (whether it's netflix intstant, hulu, or so on, the past week or so I've been watching The Ricky Gervais Show on HBOgo with lunch) but if I think somethings worth watching I usually try to watch it on tv. The things I do watch via streaming tend to be short lived shows that peaked my interest (less of a commitment time wise to watch things like Terriers or Kings), or comedies.

I probably watch most TV that way, and it's the only way I ever watch new anime anymore (which is rare).  There's really nothing that I watch on TV that I can't see legally online, and I'm actually thinking about cancelling cable since it would be way cheaper in the long run to just have a single streaming option.

I rarely watch tv. I don't like having to watch something at a specific time, I don't plan on having cable when I move out to my apartment here soon. Streaming all the way.

Being in the UK, streaming shit works extremely differently; namely the US companies don't like to stream anything, which is what we like to call 'a dick move.' If someone streamed Fringe, I'd watch it.

But they don't. Hell, they haven't even released Season 3 of Breaking Bad in the UK.

I probably watch more TV than I ever have in my entire life. 100% of it is streamed though. Most of it legally streamed unless their is no other option. EHulu gives me all of the over the air shows I want to watch (really just Fringe), Netflix lets me discover cable shows that I would like and watch all the old seasons, and Amazon VOD lets me buy cable as they are currently airing. I love it. For the price of less than 1 or 2 months of cable TV I can buy and own everything I'd want to watch on Cable all year.

The only stalwarts for my tastes are HBO (Why won't you sell me Boardwalk Empire?), some BBC shows (They sell Dr. Who and Luther as they aired but won't do the same for Skins), and some TNT shows (Southland was on VOD as it aired but then Men of a Certain Age isn't).

Being a brit and not having access to the vast majority of shows until they hit dvd, I tend to download them. When available I'll stream (South Park on Netflix, for example), but the quality is so lacking that it's often far preferable to just hit up a warez site and d/l it in glorious HD.

I pay for both Netflix and Lovefilm and have a TONNE of dvds, including many boxsets of shows (and would happily pay a lot more for a streaming site that offered a wider selection in true HD).

If the medium would catch up, I wouldn't have to download a thing.

...and fuck region locking, disc or otherwise.

Comes out in mid-May. Best news I heard last week.

I don't watch much TV so I don't watch live so I have to stream them online to watch, sorry.

Sometimes, but I generally don't watch anything current. If a show I want to watch is on Netflix of Hulu, I'll marathon it until I'm caught up.

I don't even have a tv, so any television show watching I do is through streaming.
