NBC will be live-streaming the Super Bowl for the first time.

Kind of neat. It looks like it'll just be the TV feed, but you'll be able to stream it live (with commercials) to mobile devices. So no need to watch ESPN's GameCenter or something like that, looking at little football icons and a bunch of lines move around on a field, assuming you have decent internet. Hell, with my crappy TV service, I might even prefer to stream it.

Although, of course, I'd be surprised if it wasn't locked down to America-only, and I'd be doubly surprised if it actually worked without any major problems.

This is pretty cool. I can't help but feel like it's the first step toward a future where TV broadcasters steam everything online.

Seems like they could track the number of people watching easier now. Also, for all those people who complain about having to work during the Super Bowl, this must be a Godsend.

Whaaa you mean a major television and communications conglomerate is going to LIVE stream something WOW. See like this is what is keeping me from fully cutting the cord.Hopefully more sporting properties start doing this since its not like people don't do this for them already.
