I never really hear any of my friends talk about this show but I saw it on netflix and watched the first 2 episodes. It seems like an alright show if it eventually goes somewhere...
Anyone like it? Should I keep watching?

I've heard nothing but mirthful praise for the show, but I haven't actually seen any of Sons of Anarchy for myself. You should probably keep watching it...or you could watch Boardwalk Empire. If anything, there's a sickening lack of Boardwalk Empire talk on this website; it's a great show--it really is!
Do I watch Sons of Anarchy? Why yes I do and I think it's really great.
It's the essence of compelling television if you ask me. Complex, ugly, mean, but also damn believable and thrilling, human drama. Both Ron Pearlman and Katey Sagal, who won a golden globe for her role in SOA, do some of the best acting they ever have done.
I have seen the first 3 seasons so far and I'm having a blast.
I acutally prefer SOA to the much overrated and overexposed Mad Men when it comes to drama.
@Castiel: I've watched all of Mad Men... Maybe Mad Men appeals to me because of just how much of a 60's modern man Draper is and I wish I could emulate that sometimes. So bad ass in his own way.
This show has that breaking bad depressing feel. But I think I'm starting to like it. Gotta watch more of it I guess.
I'm a big fan of Sons of Anarchy. Mad Men is more stylish & cool in that way, more aesthetically pleasing, but Sons of Anarchy is just more interesting to me as far as the characters & story goes. I'd go on a record & say it's my favourite thing on TV right now. Ron Perlman is great as the head of the biker club, Katey Segal well deserved her awards for the portrayl of the strong matriachal figure of both her family & the club at large. And of all the other members of the Sons I think Kim Coates who plays Tig really deserves more acclaim. Especially during the course of season 1. Katey Segal really steals season 2, alongside Henry Rollins who is just terrifying in his role.
I don't want to say much about what goes on, so I'll just say that I recommend it to everybody that I know.
Its pretty darn good. I was in the same boat as you when I first saw the season 1 trailers back in 08 or 07. I thought of it as some lame biker show that was trying to hard. I ended up watching the first 2 seasons on netflix when they first appeared back in 2010 and it really surprised me in a good way. That said, don't go in thinking you're going to get Breaking Bad like pacing. This show is slow and methodical usually taking a whole season if not more to solve some of the problems(even longer for much more serious) but it brings the tension like no other.
