What cancelled TV shows made you sad?

I just watched the last episode of Reaper, season 2. Oh man, it's kinda brutal how that season ends. Sam goes into a competition with the Devil, but loses because that fucking Steve breaks his hand so he can't do the quarters game. Andi loses her soul! I almost cried, this is the one time they give us hope when usually the situation with the Devil is pretty hopeless every time (like how Allan was stopped from going to the Vatican). "Heaven works in mysterious ways", arghhh I'm so angry! The angels fly off in an obnoxious manner. It's nice that Sam and Andi are fully back together, but man it hurts to see this cliffhanger is how the show ends. This makes me more angry than Firefly or Arrested Development, because Firefly got Serenity, and Arrested Development is definitely getting a movie.

Tyler Labine aka Sock did a post-mortem, no one commissioned a 3rd season, SyFy did nothing. This is how Reaper would have ended, straight from the creators' mouths. Includes bombshells about Sam's dad.

If you haven't seen Reaper, you're missing out on one of the most enjoyable shows of this generation.

Ray Wise didn't even an Emmy for his portrayal of the Devil, which is possibly the best Devil portrayal on screen ever! Better than Al Pacino, better than Peter Stormare.

Yeah, Reaper was a bummer.

Moving away from the obvious answers (Firefly, Arrested Development etc) I was pretty disappointed when Life was canned. Great little series. I'll also be upset when Chuck ends in a couple weeks. I'm happy it's gone on for as long as it has since it probably should have ended a few seasons ago, but now how will I get my weekly dosage of Yvonne Strahovski! It's a cruel world.

Well the cancellation of Reaper really bummed me out too, sucha funny show

The most recent example is Party Down, I've watched season 1 and 2 recently and that show is pretty damn funny. I really hope that gets it's movie like they've said

The biggest bummer in my mind is Stargate Atlantis, man I loved that show so much and it could've done so much more with it's world and characters, It could've gone for 10 seasons just like SG-1 did, I mean even that show could've done more with another season.

Caprica could've been great if it was handled differently, and atleast gotten a second season to find it's place, loved the idea of a prequel series to BSG

I was pretty bummed when Ed got cancelled... Although it ended up having an okay ending.

Firefly is the obvious choice for me and most people here it seems. I'm glad to have gotten Serenity but it only made me wanting more of the series. I'm sad Joss will never go back to that universe but at this point I think it'd be impossible/too expensive to get everyone back together.

Life would have to be my runner-up though. It was such an unique show as well as one of the few shows I actually watched on a regular basis.

Rome was also an excellent show that I was sad got cancelled. I watched the series after the fact on rental but the characters and story were phenomenal. I heard a movie is in the works though I wonder if that will ever come to fruition.

The Kingdom sets up a ton of stuff, but there's no pay off. And as much as I loved Arrested Development and Party Down, I don't think those shows would have been remembered as fondly if they'd gone on for 5/6 seasons.

The Clerks cartoon. They didn't even give it a chance :(

Yeah, I liked Reaper. Another, I miss is Space: Above and Beyond. It ended on a complete cliffhanger with one crew man presumed dead, two more MIA possibly POW, and two more floating in a damaged craft in space. FOX canned the show because it was too expensive for the returns, but it was a top notch sci-fi show. Another single season show I enjoyed was Earth-2. Think of it as the better, earlier version of Terra Nova. And off the sci-fi genre, but not too far, I really liked Wonderfalls. FOX can be brutal sometimes...and yet they keep giving Seth MacFarlane more and more money.

I loved Reaper! it was such a great, fun show! :(

I also loved The Class, it was so funny. Eastwick was amazing, ended on a cliffhanger! - although I don't understand, they had a pretty good viewership and was critically acclaimed! and also Tower Prep, a pretty unique, interesting show which I loved, definitely recommend! Veronica Mars was great, a fresh mystery show that I loved.

I totally forgot about Wonderfalls. That was pretty hilarious!

All of Bryan Fuller's series not named Heroes

And Deadwood, I guess. I would have been fine with season 3 being the end as long as the writers had known that before hand =/

Jericho. From what I remeber the ending was rushed, which isn't surprising seeing as they only gave them 8 episodes to end it.

Reapers, Veronica Mars, and Firefly are all at the top of the list.  Along with Bored to Death, Jon Benjamin has a Van, and Party Down.

Reaper getting cancelled was such a disappointment because Ray Wise was amazingly good as the devil, prefect even. The show itself was also really good and quite funny. I was annoyed Stargate Universe got cancelled right as it was getting good with its overall story and because it ended on a really interesting cliffhanger. I wish it came back for even one more season. Babylon 5 getting cancelled in season 4 was awful because they then crammed in as many plot resolutions in to the second half of the season only to get renewed on a different station leaving a bunch of filler plots to pad out a really boring fifth season, it sort of ruins a really excellent show. Space Above and Beyond getting cancelled was also really disappointing again because of the absolutely massive cliffhanger although you could also leave the show there and it kinda almost works. And lastly since I am talking pretty much about sci-fi shows Farscape getting cancelled was a bummer.

It was really sad that Reaper and Party Down were cancelled. I enjoyed the hell out of both. :(
