Holy shit, some of that stuff that they're doing on the new Fear Factor actually looks pretty damn dangerous. I've never watched much of it, but I think I'd do alright as long as I could only do the cool shit with cars and driving them into trains and rappelling off of buildings and all the other stuff I was taught to do by the men who trained me in my long training sessions that were intended to train me.

Scorpions, though? Fuck that noise.

NFL Monday Night Football

ESPN 5/8: Another wonderful matchup of awful teams on an MNF game, as the Seahawks (5-7) take on the Rams (2-10). At least the Cowboys/Giants game was pretty good last night.

Fear Factor

NBC 8 PM: I've been writing for Screened for something like 20 months now, and it's still weird to see things premiering when you wrote news stories when they were first announced. But anyway, hey, Fear Factor is back with two back-to-back episodes at 8 and 9.

I Want a Dog for Christmas, Charlie Brown

ABC 8 PM: I guess Disney's happy to just repeat everything Charlie Brown-related that's ever been made in December. I guess it's better than Shrek The Halls for the umpteenth time, though. Far, far better, actually.

Terra Nova

FOX 8 PM: "Lucas races to finish assembling his mystery device; Taylor and Jim confront the mole; Skye encounters a familiar face." This whole operation...was a MOLE HUNT?

2 Broke Girls

CBS 8 PM: A new episode of 2 Broke Girls followed by a repeat to replace whatever show was in that slot that recently got cancelled, then new episodes of 2.5 Men and Mike & Molly. Yay sitcoms!

The Closer

TNT 9 PM: "A man is murdered while under FBI surveillance; Brenda's parents arrive with surprising news that keeps Brenda's mind from her case." It sounds like that man...was murdered while under FBI surveillance *puts on sunglasses* YEAAAHHHHHHHHH!

Hawaii Five-0

CBS 10 PM: "On the night before Chin Ho's wedding, the team's investigation into a man left to die in an abandoned bunker intersects with Capt. Fryer's case." Sounds like someone...was left to die in an abandoned bunker *puts on sunglasses* YYYYYEEAAHHHHHHHH! Am I doing that right?

Enlightened

HBO 9:30 PM: "Amy convinces Levi to get treatment; Amy makes a presentation at work; Amy seeks Tyler's help." I know nothing about this show, but I guess this is their season finale. Or series finale, if it got cancelled. Again, I know nothing about it. Sorry.

How I Met Your Mother isn't on tonight so that's why there's two episodes of 2 Broke Girls tonight. I will not be watching the game tonight because those two teams are awful.

Excuse me? My Seahawks are awful? They are thoroughly sub-par if nothing, sir. And don't you forget it!

Its a very important game. While the Colts are 0-13 and seemed to be getting Luck, the Rams and Vikings are both fighting tooth and nail to avoid winning another game. And the Seahawks are technically still in the playoff hunt!

@abacus: I agree, but we really need a QB and I don't want Landry Jones which all of the mock drafts show us picking.

FEAR FACTOR Hells yea, Rogan may be a crazy conspiracy theory stoner but he is a decent color guy and makes Fear Factor fun. They are shaving heads this time around oooo yea.

I don't think you are doing it right, Rorie.

I forgot Disney owned Peanuts. That timeslot should just be Muppet Christmas Carol every week in December though, really.

Why the Fuck did NBC get rid of Fear Factor in the first place? It was doing great in the ratings, especially compared to what's left on NBC. Same thing goes for American Gladiators' 2005 (or so) reboot. It was a huge ratings hit, beloved by all, so - of course - they cancel it after two seasons. And now ABC's much dumber, much wussier obstacle course show Wipeout is one of the biggest ratings monsters on tv right now. Americans love obstacle course shows! Morons. They deserve to be in the shit shape they are currently in.

What I wouldn't give to see Gina Carano as Crush for a few more seasons of American Gladiators, man.

Oh, and like every week, fuck the Closer. Stop mentioning it. We're not 70 year olds, Rorie.

I still cant tell if i like 2 broke girls or not.

I like the chemistry between the two main characters but everything around them is just....terrible

I still enjoy 2 Broke Girls even though I know I shouldn't.

I watched the first two episodes of Enlightened and was not impressed. I'll probably watch Fear Factor because Joe Rogan is awesome and maybe check out Luck (the new HBO show with Dustin Hoffman) which I haven't heard anything about other than Horse Racing.
