It's a little odd to be bringing back an Edward R. Murrow program after fifty years; you can't imagine that anyone of any demographic you actually want to advertise with will know what the heck you're referencing. Still, CBS is obviously willing to give a go of with it with their new reboot of Person To Person. If you're interested in checking out what the heck's in George Clooney's fridge, you can do so at 8 PM tonight; otherwise, pretty much every other show on the networks tonight debuts a new episode.
NBC 8 PM: "Whitney is stunned when she discovers Roxanne's ex-husband is back in town; Neal is unsure of what to do when faced with racism; Lily loses her engagement ring." Oh, man, I can't wait for Whitney Cummings to tell us how to deal with racism. Her work on 2 Broke Girls should certainly inform her knowledge on the subject. Followed by an episode of Are You There, Chelsea? called "The Gynecologist." Classy all night long!
FOX 9 PM: "Howie and choreographers stage a dance audition for a 37-year-old man who will do anything for a chance to meet his father." If I had abandoned my son 37 years ago and he came back to find me with a flash mob, I'd probably abandon him squaredly. That's more than twice.
BRAVO 10 PM: "The chefs navigate the pantry blindfolded; another chef is added to the mix; the judges determine the final four." This show is going to last forever. It will never end. They'll never leave Texas, either.
|Law & Order: Special Victims Unit|
NBC 10 PM: "After auditioning for a reality show, a woman is found in Central Park unconscious, with drugs in her system and evidence of sexual assault; Detective Benson and Executive ADA Haden (Harry Connick Jr.) continue to grow closer." Hey, guess what? Rape.
CBS 9 PM: "The team investigates ritualistic casino-related murders in New Jersey; a fight with her boyfriend makes Garcia think she and Morgan have gotten too close." I have never seen this show. Not once, ever. Followed by CSI at 10.
ABC 9 PM: "Claire thinks Phil's new business partner (Greg Kinnear) is blatantly inappropriate, but Phil doesn't notice; while their house is being fumigated, Cameron and Mitchell stay with Jay and Gloria." A full night of new episodes on ABC, with The Middle and Suburgatory at 8 and 8:30 and Happy Endings and Revenge at 9:30 and 10.
