Just imagine Creedence&squot;s "Run Through the Jungle" is playing in the background.

Here's one of the weirdest nights of TV I've encountered in a while. The usual batch of regular ass regular shows is around, but most of them are uninteresting filler episodes which I ain't gonna waste my time bringing up. Instead, we have a number of bizarre live events and crazy historical stuff going on...in HD no less! Let's head to the list, and you'll see what I mean.

Glee

8PM - FOX - It's a West Side Story episode! Honestly surprised it took them this long to get to one of those.

2011 World Series of Poker: Final Table

9PM - ESPN - Tonight is the final table of the World Series, aired live on ESPN. Winner gets $8.7 million. Pretty much no one you've ever heard of is playing tonight, partially because half the noteworthy poker players on the planet are currently about to get their asses handed to them by the federal government. Something for these young guys to look forward to!

Vietnam in HD

9PM - History Channel - Part one of three of the History Channel's exhaustive documentary on the Vietnam War. Thank god it's in HD. I refuse to watch SD war footage. It's so bleak and depressing.

Dancing with the Stars

9PM - ABC - Wait, wait, wait...hold the phone. This live results show features both a performance from Flo Rida AND the Michael Jackson Cirque du Soleil performers? Wow! That's why I have this weird boner!

Sons of Anarchy

10PM - FX - People keep asking me why we don't do Sons of Anarchy discussion on the podcast, and the reason is simple: I am never not behind by at least three episodes of this show. Welcome to DVR culture, people.

Tosh.0

10PM - Comedy Central - A guy who accidentally shot himself gets a web redemption, and Tosh tries to put an end to "Tebowing." I watch football, and I still barely understand why this is a thing. Is it because he's super Christian? Is that why anyone cares?

Workaholics

10:30PM - Comedy Central - Karl Hevacheck, AKA The Human Genius, gets married. That's their drug dealer, by the way.

8. The Heart, She Holler

12:30AM - Cartoon Network - Episode three, in which Hurlan confronts the town curse. I feel like even writing episode synopses of these shows is pointless. You go in for the upsetting insanity, not the storyline. Bizarre, hilarious, potentially disquieting things will happen! Enjoy!

Yeah, no. I'll be watching hockey tonight. None of this junk is for me.

I keep getting told that Workaholics is really funny. Still don't watch it. Maybe I should?

Never heard of it, but DVRing "The Heart, She Holler" on the title alone. My wife is from West Virginia and had a bunch of friends, "down the holler."

@FinalDasa: Yes.

Feel free to talk even about 3 week old episodes of Sons of Anarchy on the podcast. The more Sons chatter in my life, the better.

I love it when The History Channel actually, you know, has historical stuff on.

@FinalDasa: Yes, it is very funny. Also it reminds me of my life yet I don't do anything that the guys in the show do. It's one of the best things Comedy Central has made in a LONG time.

@FinalDasa: The first two episodes are lackluster, but from episode 3 on, it becomes very funny.
