I'm almost ready for sweeps month to be over, if only because that means that not every show on every weekday night will be brand new. It's easier to choose when you have fewer choices, after all, isn't that right? Also, can I say something about how annoying it is to search Youtube for promos for network shows? I mean, seriously, if I search for "30 Rock [episode name] Promo," I get a million of those spammy "Hey, youtube took this video down, but you can visit this Russian site to view the full episode even though it hasn't aired yet!" video things that I hate and want to kill. That's all.
| Archer FX 10 PM: "Archer must help Gillette save his younger brother from a crooked sheriff in West Virginia." Odds that Raylan Givens shows up in a cross-network cameo? Probably zero, unfortunately. Followed by Unsupervised at 10:30 PM. | |
| The Big Bang Theory CBS 8 PM: "Sheldon's routine is turned upside down when his barber gets sick; Wolowitz questions his decision to go into space." What will Sheldon do? Will it involve some comedic escalation of his OCD tendencies? Maybe? Followed by a new Rob at 8:30, about which we don't speak. | |
| The Finder Fox 9 PM: "Dr. Jack Hodgins asks Walter to help find evidence of extraterrestrial activity; Timo and Willa try to deal with their relationship." The phrase "X and Y try to deal with their relationship" should never appear in an episode summary; it's kind of assumed that it'll be part of every television episode ever, right? | |
| Person of Interest CBS 9 PM: "Risk." No episode description for this one. I'll randomly guess that it involves the team tracking down someone whose number popped out of the machine. | |
| The Mentalist 10 PM: "When the leader of an anti-cult activist organization is murdered, Jane is reunited with a former nemesis, Bret Stiles (Malcolm McDowell)." Fakey psychics have nemeses? That's a great thought. I would love to believe that The Prestige is actually happening somewhere out there. You know, if The Mentalist was real life. | |
| Parks and Recreation NBC 8:30 PM: "After realizing everyone forgot Jerry's birthday, Leslie decides to throw him a party; Tom is shocked to learn Ann doesn't share his taste in music." For once, there isn't a new 30 Rock on tonight, so the night commences with Parks and Rec, followed by The Office at 9 and Up All Night at 9:30. | |
| 30 Rock NBC 8 PM: "Jack gains a greater appreciation for leap day; Liz helps Jenna seduce an Internet billionaire; Tracy enlists the writers to help him spend a nearly-expired restaurant gift card." I lied! There is a new 30 Rock on tonight. Funnily enough, when I wrote these descriptions down for last Thursday, I accidentally mixed it up with today's episodes, and last week 30 Rock was still supposed to broadcast a repeat, so I wrote all that stuff above about it repeating. Funny story, huh? Funny. |
