ON TV: | 1. Awake 10:00pm on NBC – Finale This was only supposed to be the season finale, but since NBC ended up not picking it up, it will be the series finale. Britten's two doctors come together in a debate that forces him to choose a path. However, I fear that we are going to be left not knowing which reality is the true one. How sad. |
| 2. Rookie Blue 10:00pm on ABC – Season Premiere William Shatner guest stars and if that is not enough reason to watch, I'm not sure what is. | |
3. Men at Work10:00pm on TBS – Series Premiere I don't know much about this new show that premieres on TBS tonight, other than it is about men…who work. Looks like a pretty traditional sitcom about four male friends, so the question really is…is it funny? We'll see, but I'm not holding out too much hope. |
Marathon to Start:
| 1. Arrested Development Seasons 1 - 3 on Netflix Instant As I was about to write this I wondered how do I follow-up The Wire (fear started to creep in...oh no...did I use it to soon?) and then I realized, well, let's just swing to the other side of the spectrum to what I consider the best comedy series of all time. It's Arrested Development (said in Ron Howard's voice) It has had such a huge cult following since it went off the air in 2006, that six years later Netflix has finally made a deal to bring it back for another season. The great thing about this show is that much of it's brilliance comes from the callbacks to past episodes, so you can watch them over and over and they are still just as fresh and just as hilarious. I have had many arguments with myself trying to figure out who my favorite character is (George Michael? GOB? Buster? Annyong? Franklin?) and have finally realized I can love them all the same. So…if you haven't seen it…watch it immediately. If you have seen it…re-watch it immediately. |
