Battlefield movie has underwater space aliens. Does this even make sense?

Um...there's a Battlefield movie? I know there is a Battleship movie coming out. And, no that doesn't make sense but no one has fought a modern naval war since the Falklands in 1982 and it was a bit lopsided between combatants. Unless a filmmaker is going to make a World War III movie, aliens are the go-to bad guys (well, since zombies can't pilot boats). Who's the bad guy in a World War III movie? Which consumer population do you want to exclude from your film profits?

And no, don't really care about this movie. It's an obviously popcorn flick from the same guys who produce the Transformers series.

Battlefield with Aliens already happened, it's called Battle: Los Angeles. As for Battleship, the movie looks absolutely atrocious. The movie looks more brainless than Transformers and that is very hard to do.
