Hello! I'm here to tell you about the movies that are in theaters today! Unfortunately I didn't manage to make it out to a midnight movie last night, so you will have to wait a bit for your review of Man On A Ledge, the apparently not-so-good movie that is the latest salvo in the Sam Worthington assault on our collective senses. I'll be catching it at some point today, so we'll try to have our review of it up later this afternoon. And Alex will, of course, have a review of the apparently-pretty-good The Grey sometime today as well.
In addition to the wider releases below, there are a few indie or limited-release films coming along as well. If you're in the mood for the latest installment of the long-running Chinese romantic series All's Well That Ends Well, that'll be in around 15 theaters. The French cancer drama/comedy Declaration Of War is in six theaters
So, it might be a bit of a light day publishing-wise, but we'll try to have some reviews for you later on! Here's a look at the movies that are coming out today for your viewing pleasure. What are you going to see this weekend?
| 1. The Grey Liam Neeson's daughter has been kidnapped by wolves! Are you a bad enough dude to rescue Liam Neeson's daughter? Probably so if you're Liam Neeson. | |
| 2. Man on a Ledge I admit to being mildly intrigued by the premise of this film, so it's too bad that it's apparently not very good. We'll find out together when our review goes up later today! | |
| 3. One for the Money I'm mildly surprised that this isn't getting any kind of critic screenings, mostly because - hey, you know what? - I actually think it looks kind of fun. Apparently it's not so great, as the not-screened-for-critics tag will probably indicate. I'll be seeing it sometime this weekend and we'll have a review sometime on Saturday or Sunday. | |
| 4. Albert Nobbs This is going a bit wider than it had been originally, as it expands to 250 screens or so. If you feel like watching it, catch it now! | |
| 5. The Descendants As expected, The Descendants is going to try and ride the wave of its Oscar nominations by expanding to almost 2,000 screens nationwide. |
